Women are Cheap Tricks

All generalizations break down when you apply them to individuals. However, speaking broadly, would you say that the following is more true than false, or more false than true?

Here it is: Women, like the late 70's rock/pop band Cheap Trick, want you to want them. They're generally most fulfilled in a relationship when they feel their men want them and are attracted to them.

Men, on the other hand, are more like Donna Summer, in that they "love to love you, baby". They are most fulfilled in a relationship when they're with a woman they want and are attracted to.

What do you think?

...more true than false, but the reverse also applies

...equally false and true.. i feel it's more like comment one.

like the 80's hair band Cheap Trick,
...absolutely false... they were a late 70's radio play rock/pop band... in fact only 2 members had long hair and it was styled in the 70's style... ie: not big 80's hair... and the drummer was balding and the lead guitar player was a total geek

...That which does not kill me merely pisses me off!...

I would disagree, actually. I think everyone wants to feel loved and secure AND they want to be with someone they want and are attracted to. And no one wants to have to explain why they are with someone to their friends -- they want their friends to KNOW why they're with that person and hopefully be a bit envious.

Sorceror07 - I stand corrected, and I've edited my post to give Cheap Trick their due. Thanks.

angelgrrl - You're right, both of those motivations are present in everybody. However, I'm hypothesizing that, in general, women are more motivated by being wanted than men are, and men are more motivated by what they want. At least in the beginning. If that's not true, why do women spend so much more time getting ready to go out than men do? Are men just naturally prettier? Or is it just that women place a little more importance on being noticed - wanted - than men do?
