Competitive Sex

When you're a prestigious Silver Member, like I am, you can save search parameters and name them. For instance, you can have one labeled "Freaks" which searches for all the people into S&M, B&D, and "Other 'Alternative' Activities" (still wondering what that means), and another one named "Prudes" that only returns members who like 1-on-1 sex and "Discreet Relationships" (another completely useless term that AdultFriendFinder should chuck out the window, IMHO ).

I have a search called "The Competition". It returns men in my age group who live in my area. I've noticed a few things. First, roughly 120% of them have cock shots as their main photos. Fine, I'm not doing that, but if they like it, more power to them. Secondly, there are about ten times as many of them as there are women of the same criteria. I already knew that would be the case, having spent lots of time on the "advice" forums before redeeming my points and claiming my prestigious Silver Membership, but the reality of it didn't hit me until I actually saw the hundreds upon hundreds of cocks laid end to end, page after page, into infinity and beyond.

Third, a hell of a lot of them have Prestigious Gold Memberships, making my prestigious Silver Membership look tarnished and dull. Aha! That's why my profile never gets any views! A guy could have the most beautiful eyes in the world and no woman would ever see them without scrolling through eight pages of glistening Gold members!

Based on these factors, plus what I learned from reading the advice lines about how women get so overwhelmed with winks and messages they don't even know what to do with them all, I don't take it personally when I email a woman and she doesn't write me back. On the other hand, I have a feeling this whole AdultFriendFinder game is going to get old pretty quick. I've met a couple of really nice women from this site (you know who you are, and thanks a million), but I'm still on the fence about whether I'll renew my prestigious Silver Membership when the time comes. Maybe casual sex isn't as strong a motivator for me as I thought it would be.
