Oooh..I hear crashing in the rain....

Driving in the rain...not one of most favorite things in the world..driving in blinding sheeting rain is the worst, doing it at night..even worse..

Last night I left work and the lightening was definitely in full bloom..and close real close, again sort of like that movie War of the Worlds..then the heavens opened the second I got on the veterans expwy..and I was scared..real scared.

Then heading on 54..OMG..I could not even see the lines on the road separating the lanes, much less the car ahead of me..that was NOT FUN!! I was thankful I made it home in 1 piece and went to sleep dreading I will have to deal with this today..but so far,no rain..just gray and ominous..but NO rain..driving on the veterans during the day in bad rain is just as bad as nightime rain driving..I have NO idea how people actually enjoy driving in this..if I cannot see and I have excellent vision, odds are no one else can see thru it either..I'd hate to be in another accident..and I really felt lucky it did not happen last night..will I always be that lucky????

I am tired..2 nights of trying to sleep and tossing and turning and waking up constantly..hopefully that will pass as well.

Ernesto had more bark than bite..will we be that lucky next time? We can only hope

You know, there is nothing wrong with pulling off when it's raining so hard. I do it. If I cannot see, I start getting that claustrophobic feeling and I just cannot keep driving.

Be careful, chica. Fortunately, this storm is gonna pass by, and all will be right with the world

I drive for a living and I see so many bad drivers. I agree with bucfann, better to pull safely off on the shoulder with your flashers on if your the least bit worried. I wish more drivers would use caution.

Here's a driving tip.... NEVER, NEVER, NEVER use the cruise control during a rain storm !!! The reason being if your car starts to hydroplane(this can happen very easy) your tires lose traction, the cruise tries to keep your speed up making it even worse. You could lose control in a split second and cause serious to yourself or others.
