So Beautiful

Please click on this pic so you can enjoy it.

I found it to be so beautiful I just had to share.

It is a very rare parrot flower and it's home is in Thailand. Isn't it amazing? There is so much detail that it even has a nose

I know we humans can create some wonderful and beautiful things but we will never achieve the level that exists in our own environment.

I am not some huge environmentalist but if I see someone litter I go right over and pick it up and sometimes I even hand it back especially if there is a trash can close by. It drives me crazy when people litter. I know some of my neighbors think I'm crazy but sometimes I'll pick up things around my block too.

How about you guys, does it drive you crazy when people litter??

Do you ever pick up litter that you come across ??

Or, do you litter?? shame on you if you do....

Hugs and Peace2u all
Smooth

I never litter and I really don't like to see people littering. It is bad karma. What chance have we of saving the planet if we can't even save a candy bar wrapper long enough to put in a bin (with the hope it will be recycled)?

I really do believe in the power of one. If we all choose to behave in a particular way we can change the world in a small way. And baby step by baby step the small ways add up.

warm xx

I agree with Warm in that I never litter ~ my Mom was really strict about this while my brother and I were growing up! I get really mad when I see other people doing it, what is wrong with them???!!!

Btw...that photo is beautiful!

i hate litterbugs...when i was running a music store a few years ago, a couple of kids came in to buy a CD, and i asked if they wanted a bag for it. they said yes, so i put the CD and receipt in a bag and off they went. the got out the door, took the CD out of the bag and dropped the bag on the ground right outside the front door! i went ballistic, went out and yelled at them "what the fuck did you want the bag for, ya little shits!" they looked at me like it was me that was nuts...

ESPECIALLY when I'm hiking smooth - it pisses me off - but, I generally end up packing out the litter of others. But, another thing that tends to irritate me is that I rarely see others who I hike with do the same - they just walk on by - don't want to be bothered I guess.

I always pick up what I can but my pet peeve is public facilities that don't have any trash cans. I know that sometimes they want it all packed out but you're just asking for trouble if you don't have a proper place to put the trash....

It's very bad karma, I know I get very disappointed at the same thought if we can't even throw away trash, we are in big trouble.

My step mother was the same way, she taught us why we should value our world and everything in it as well. She is a truly amazing woman.

I am glad you enjoyed the pic, I think the nose is just to cool

You do realise the English translation of the Thai at the bottom is totally obscene don't you?

Little boys have been known to find themselves headfirst in litter bins.
I had no idea it was obscene. Is it to obscene to share??

That is so absurd to take it and just throw it on the ground, no way you are nuts hun

I agree catdoc,
but I did an experiment once we live in Indy use to be close to the track and I got so tired of people littering I put a trash can at the 4 way stop by my house , guess what people still littered !!!!! Just a complete disrespect for nature and our city. I do agree though you have to at least give people a chance to do the right thing.
