Each Grain of Sand

TIME

To realize
The value of a sister
Ask someone
Who doesn't have one.....

To realize
The value of ten years:
Ask a newly
Divorced couple..........

To realize
The value of four years:
Ask a graduate.

To realize
The value of one year:
Ask a student who
Has failed a final exam.

To realize
The value of nine months:
Ask a mother who gave birth to a stillborn.

To realize
The value of one month:
Ask a mother
who has given birth to
A premature baby.

To realize
The value of one week:
Ask an editor of a weekly newspaper.

To realize
The value of one minute:
Ask a person
Who has missed the train, bus or plane.

To realize
The value of one-second:
Ask a person
Who has survived an accident.

Time waits for no one.

Treasure every moment you have.

You will treasure it even more when
you can share it with someone special.

To realize the value of a friend or family
member..
LOSE ONE.

The origin of this letter is unknown.
They forgot one
To realize that sitting worried about getting your house:
a waste of precious time...

I feel like I have been sitting here watching every grain of sand slide down an hourglass...
for almsot a month now, going thru the process of buying our home. I have temporaily forgot what each grain of sand meant, Precious time, seconds, minutes that I could be spending with people I love and enjoy... what a waste it has been. I am sick of it. If the sale goes thru fine if not I'll be fine with that too. (though completely heartbroke.)

I wonder how many of us take our time for granted everyday, how many seconds we waste thinking or worrying about stuff we can do nothing about, I know we are not in control of anything I memorized the serenity prayer along time ago but it can be so easy to engage in old habits

Today I vow to hugs my kids, call an old friend, go and play with my dogs. Are there anything or anyone that you have neglected lately?? If so don't waste another minute, go give them or it the attention they need and deserve. I am..

Hugs and Peace2u all
Smooth

Smooth...so often we spend so much time worrying about those things we can do nothing about, we forget about the really important issues in life...thanks for the reminder.

Thanks smooth - I needed that. Though there was a time when there was never enough minutes in a day - the past four years has slipped through my fingers. Time to step back into life.

However, PS, and all of that - I think right now my biggest waste of time is waiting for my "dial-up" connection to complete a task -"punch any key to continue" - ok - where's the hammer

In the wake of the morning and the waking of the stars,we fail to realize the time we waste doing this or that or even not doing either at all.Do we really waste time or do we really prepare ourselves for the next minute ahead?I don't consider any of my time a waste anymore darlin.I was married for 8 years and engaged for another 4.Had a 2 year old who I had to bury from a car wreck with my ex-fiancee.Was my time truely wasted with any of the three?I use to think so,now I realize it was a learning experience and preparing me for the next minute and the next person who might be able to reach my heart if they can get close enough.Right now I work 6 to 7 days a week and two full time jobs to cope with the memories and the pain.I am still single and not even really looking because I don't have the time for it.I have turned into a hermit outside of my work and my laptop is my newest companion. Is time really wasted or is it preparing you for your future?

Thanks smooth..

Those are some precious thoughts. I spend to much time on here that is for sure. I love your entries on here, always thought provoking and/or very sexy. On the house...good luck!! I hate waiting on that stuff. I had a house that would not sale once, took 9 months to get it off the market, the doubel house payments drained us dry. So I feel for you.

I have been trying to focus more on the little things, a moon lite night, storms coming across the fields, those are the things I love to think about and escape to when life gets sucky.

I don't even want to try and count the time I have wasted over the years worrying about stuff and what I missed out on, that itself would waste time too

You mean I'm not the only one left on dial-up?? here you can borrow my hammer if you'd like
You know sometimes taking a step outta life for awhile is a good thing, but what you do with that time is what matters don't ya think?? But neglecting others is where I was coming from. But I am glad to hear you are stepping back into your life, I hope you find tons of happiness

My heart goes out to you hun, I can not comprehend what you must be going thru, I have lost 2 second cousins, young children by getting hit by cars by there is now way that can come close to your loose. I agree in your situation your time is not wasted, you are still problay healing and learning. I was referring more to neglecting people becasue we are distracted by our problems or what we consider to be problems.. Hang tough man. Tons of love to ya..

Ty hun I am glad you enjoy my blog. We are renters right now so I don't have the same problems you did, our problem is communication it seems if we don't call them we never know what is going on. But hopefully it'll keep progressing and we can get in by the start of the school year, we haven't even heard back on the final loan approval, but the mortgage lady said it all looked real good and that our preapproval went thru, so I am excited one minute but then I say we haven't signed on the dotted line and you never know.. Isn't it funny and interesting how things happen in our life that we don't deal well with, I don't wait well either, but I am forced to learn..
