Broken and perfect beauty

what makes her memorable, like, more memorable than simple transcendent luminous beauty, was this massively ugly scar which ran from hairline to jugular, a big white wide poorly stitched scar that evoked perfectly the moment of the wound, those first few minutes when half her face must have been hanging loose like a sheet in the wind. some friend's german shepherd, isn't that always the way.

and yet with that scar she was perhaps more beautiful than ever, i'm not going to reach for the liberty bell because i don't like bells, but something like that, some perfect fragile thing broken so well that it's no longer about perfection, it's about the wound. we the broken, here we are, showing our faces around here.

Its hard in a society that places such emphasis on looks to see beyond that.Scars carry stories and the stories are part and parcel of what makes the person

Hi there
I've got an 11 inch scar where i got ripped down my stomach....it's very memorable....too memorable.....and when i show it to new lovers they look at like it were a badge of honour......want to run their fingers down it like it were a line of beauty....
