Prompted by a comment....

Another fellow bloggerRedswallow777
wrote a post about sunsets, inspired by
a question put to him.

Sunrise.....Sunset.....Sweetly go the days......

In Arizona, we have some
of the most awesome sunsets and so I was
moved to share my feelings
about them.

Sunsets to me are almost sacred,
because my boyfriend and I never
missed one...even if we weren't together
at the time, one of us would
call the other...and say
"do you see the sunset?".
We loved the ones that had a lot of
pinks/purples in them.
Sadly, my boyfriend died..
Every time I see a sunset with a lot of
I think of Jerry and when I see a
sunset full of pink that seems to circle
the city...
I feel he sent it for me to let me know
he's still watching them with me.

Rarely, do I ever miss the sunsets.....

It is very touching that you had your friend to share sunrises and sunsets with. But it also must bring a bit of meloncholy to not have that person to share it with anymore.

Perhaps some day I will live somewhere where sunrises and sunsets are more accessible. Even though it happens every day there are lots of physical objects in some locations like a big city where you are blocked from the view. Here in St Paul there are lots of hills and wonderful trees that make it challenging to get a good view of a sunrise or sunset. Arizona is a lot more open from my memory of the landscape....perfect for watching the day begin or end.

The sunrise or sunset above looks like it would have been amazing to see in person. Did you take it?

Just a hint on linking blog posts. At the bottom of each post and it's associated comments there is a line like this:

To link to this Post ("Prompted by a comment....") use [post+100741] in your messages.
{{{I put in a + so as not to spoil this with a link!}}}

Simply by putting in [post (number] you will create a link to that post. You can practice on one of your own blog posts and then just delete it when you are done. Good Luck with this and let me know if you need more help.

Here is a link using the number 97924 to take you to a blogging lesson creaated by GoddessOfTheDawn.....blogging 103 - change those defaults on your blog!!!.

Hey, Thanks Red. I will give it a try.

The picture posted isn't one I've taken, but it is awesome. I wish I could take the credit.

Hi slidein2meplz,

I'm sorry to hear about the death of your boyfriend. My first wife died at the age of 40 from diabetes, and we watch a lot of sunsets on the Gulf of Mexico beach in Louisiana. I also worked offshore in the Gulf of Mexico and have seen every colors of sunrises and sunsets.

I have a few sunset pictures of Cajun Country and I would love to share them with you. Visit my personal website Cajun Don's Hideaway and sign my guestbook.

I just notice your post in the Bloggers group so I click on over to your blog here. It is nice to meet you.

I have stopped blogging for a while now, but I will start blogging again next month.

Take care.
Keep On Blogging!!!! Have a great day.

My lady and I sometimes share the moon when we are apart. Makes you feel closer together even when the miles hold you apart.
