A body of art!

Tattoos are interesting and they can reveal so much about a person's hidden depths. It can something as simple as a "Mother" tattoo to having a portrait of someone they love on their arm.

Many people still have the idea that tattoos are vulgar and trashy. My mother is that way has that way of thinking. It has come about that one of my sisters got a little rose tattoo on her ankle and for the longest time she hid it under a bandaid in front of my Mom or my grandparents. Finally one day she got the nerve to show my Mom but my grandparents never knew.

Then there is me...my first tattoo was an anklet of sunflowers ranging in sizes up to larger than a half dollar...no way can I cover it with a bandaid, maybe a cast. Then I got my second, Kanji going down my arm. It is beautiful but very boring with only the black. In two weeks I am getting something added to make it more unique and enjoyable for me. Last Saturday I got Kanji down the other arm with sakura, "cherry blossoms" woven in among the tattoo. It is healing great and I am really excited about how it looks. I get a lot of compliments on it and it is only been there a few days.

I am planning on heading out tonight or tomorrow to the Seattle Tattoo convention. Maybe I will get an idea for tattoo number 4. They said tattoos are like potato chips, you can't have just one.
