Every Long Lost Road

Have you ever sat and listened to a song that the words clearly outlined how you were feeling?

Tonite as I drove home from my sons baseball game, having just had a conversation with the man in my life, I heard this song by Rascal Flatts.

The words which captured how I was feeling were: "I think about the years I spent just passing through
I'd like to have the time I lost and give it back to you
But you just smile and take my hand
You've been there you understand
It's all part of a grander plan that is coming true"

I thought about these words over and over and realized that you don't always have the answers to why things happen in your life. That there is a grander plan that we are all part of but have no control over.

I have spent the last few days with thoughts going through my mind about relationships. Old relationships and new ones. Old relationships served their own purpose and the memories are treasured ones. However, new relationships are forming and more special than I could have ever imagined. These will form new memories which will be just as treasured.

I have come to the conclusion that I have to stop thinking about the time lost and live for the time about to be spent.......

Good point. No matter how hard you try, no matter how badly you want to, you can't change yesterday. Spend too much time on yesterday and you lose today and doom tomorrow to a similar fate.

Try this...if your garbage can in the kitchen gets too full you empty it right? We have no problem emptying the garbage we see. What about mental garbage? Sometimes we all overlook the mental garbage that has been piling up. May be time to toss all the garbage.

I want you to want me, tell me that is true and that I'm not assuming this from another blog. Do you want me to want you. I love country music since I was little and listen to old country stars, I karaoke with friends occassionally and love singing songs from the older songs like Conway Twitty's Hello Darling, Hank Williams Take these Chains from my heart and set me free, Charlie Pride's songs Kiss an angel Good morning and Kalajay, Eddie Arnolds Tell the man with you he'll have to go.Love the words from a song wrote from a man's wedding vows that Tanya Tucker sang Would you lie with me in a field of stone, would you go away to another land walk a thousand miles thru the burning sands, would you stay with me as my lips grow old.
So sing me a song about love like Grandpa talked about, or do Rod Stewart's Do you think I'm sexy and do you want my body, come on and let me know.

OMG....what are you doing to me? There are so many songs that come to mind to describe how I feel. For me, words can only give a sample of the passion and strength....actions speak
With you though, Sexy isn't a strong enough word
