The Chaos of an Open Mind...

It's nice to see that some things remain constant, and that others change constantly. I was checking out the comments from friends and well-wishers on my new blog here. I think I was more amused that people actually cared enough to comment on my ramblings (because to me, that's what they are), or just to wish me good luck on this new creative junket. I've been self-absorbed in a flashback from a story my friend Jubal and I had been telling for close to twenty years, and reflecting on one particular character named Daniel. All of a sudden I get these bizarre scenes in my head that amount to an invasion in our story from Lewis Carrol (yes, Alice in Wonderland's Lewis Carrol) that totally blew my mind. I have to add at this point that it was a waking daydream... while I am driving in Los Angeles on the Freeway no less! I don't now, nor have I ever taken LSD or other psychotropic hallucinogens... so what do I do? I pull over and let it happen.
I am not now nor have I been called clinically insane, disturbed or otherwise wacko. I don't see things. But it was like a movie went off in my head. I could see and hear everything, as weird and wild as it could be on the screen.
Has this happened to you? Am I nuts? Or was I just hit by "inspiration" ? I guess we'll see. Poetry to follow tomorrow...

Inspiration occurs at the strangest times. I have heard of muscians and writers doing there thing in the oddest moments..enjoy as it is a memory.

I have been inspired at many odd ball times as well.... as evidenced by the varied times of my entries on my blog (and in the comments of other bloggers)....

When I am not at a place where I can immediately blog my inspirations, I write it in a tablet, napkin, or whatever might be closeby in order to jog my memory for later.

Carefull with those inspirations while driving!!!
