 My New Guest Book! |

The guest book I had here was sixteen pages of many people from all over that signed it, and I thank each and everyone that did! 
Since problems began on site and here in my blog, my guest book was closed to " friends only" which I did not do.
So, I didn't want to delete my old guest book. But I have hidden it since nobody can sign it anymore.
I decided to make a " new guest book" and I "hope" this one will stay open for people to sign.
If you would sign this, I would appreciate it very much.

Mood: crushed, 421 Views |  | Folks, if you are new, coming to my blog for the first time, you may not have read the problems I am having here in my blog.
You may have only saw that this blog is locked down to " friends only can comment".
Let me say, this is a mistake. I have never closed my blog to friends only. I don't know when or if this will ever be fixed, but please check back later. I have tried to get help for this, but so far, no help...and I still have the same problems.
The site has taken me off of people's watched list. So many names I had on my list are now gone. I can't even remember who all is gone! 
The site deleted all my watchers...but some have come back.
The site has my blog listed as a " newly created blog" and I have had this same blog for " 2 years now". Nothing has changed, no name changes or anything, it's the same one, and yet, they say it's new! 
The site has me down as making " 160 post". I have almost " five hundred" post I have made since I began!
I don't have all five hundred showing on here, since many from two years ago is old news now, and doesn't pertain to the here and now, but they are still there...just hidden from view.
I have tried to correct these post by editing them and making sure they are open to anyone, but they still show back up as " friends only".
Even my guest book is locked down to friends only!
I am sorry this has happened. I enjoyed getting comments and replying back to people, but it doesn't look like that is going to happen. 
I can only hope this gets fixed. Please check back later if you will.....

| Just Had to Tell You This! |

Mood: calm, 93 Views |  | I saw something hilarious this evening, just had to tell you about it! 
I was at my daughters place still trying to help her unpack and put things away. The satellite dish TV man came to hook up their satellite dish so they would have TV service.
Ok, part of his job is to crawl under the home to run the cable. My daughter, her boyfriend and I was standing there in the back yard watching him and he was down on his knees, looking under the house. 
He turned around to us and said.." I don't really want to go under there, there may be spiders!  ( are you serious?
My daughters boyfriend told him he was under there recently and he didn't see any spiders.
Well, he looked under there again..and backed away. He said..." I just can't go under there"! So, my daughters boyfriend said..." Well, give me the cable and tell me what to do when I get under there, I'll go!! 
My daughter and I went back around the front and went inside. I was cracking up!
You know...this would be like getting a job with an electric company..and telling them you don't want to touch any wires cause you may get shocked!
Or, apply for a job at a car wash...and tell them you don't want to get wet!
Or, try to be a fireman when you have a phobia of fire!
What about being a Chef, and having a fear you could get burned? 
You could always apply as a Delivery driver...but tell them you have a fear you may wreck.
You know, my son works for a Communications Tower company. He has to climb towers that go hundreds and hundreds of feet up in the air. The towers have cell phone and communication dishes on them.
I think he should go into work tomorrow and tell his boss he now has a fear of heights! 
The guy today looked so young. He didn't look over sixteen years old but I am sure he was older than that. This " may be" the first job he's ever had.
But, I have some advice for him. If he plans to work at this job...knowing it involves going under homes, he needs to get over his fear of " spiders" or look for another job!
If he is worried about a "spider"...what will he do if he goes under a house and comes face to face with a big snake!
Anyway my daughters boyfriend stayed under the house while the TV guy told him what to do!
Finally it was installed and the TV guy came inside to check the TV. He was nice and clean...but my daughters boyfriend had dirt from head to toe!
When he got ready to leave..my daughter told him "Thank You" He said..." Sure, no problem"!
I just had to laugh!
I thought..." Yeah...no problem...you weren't under the house!!!
But, they have TV now, and we got a laugh out of it. Even the boyfriend thought it was amusing.
OK, off to run through the streets of blog land...

| Trying Again |

I see most all my post are still closed to friends only, but there isn't even a place for them to comment. I don't think this will be fixed..but hopefully this post will remain open. "If" it should say closed to friends only, I " did not" do it. 
So, I hope all of you had a good 4th of July? Ours was  interesting!
To begin with, hubby and I didn't have anything planned since truthfully, we both are sick. We both got a bad chest infection from being in a place that was very dirty and full of mold, and we didn't have a face mask on...and breathing that really did a number on us! We're on antibiotics now, but they haven't had time to work yet. So, we didn't have anything planned. Just a quiet evening at home.
My daughter who is now moved into her new place ( and when I say new, I don't mean "new"...but new to her called and said she was doing a cook out and invited us to come and eat and watch fireworks her friend had brought over. She lives right at the edge of a big lake and has a big covered back porch that we could stand on to see the fireworks over the lake.
Well, hubby was feeling so bad, he didn't feel like going anywhere and I didn't either really, but I knew my g/child would like for me to be there so I went. But, I explained to her I was sick and couldn't get close to her. ( I didn't have a fever...or I wouldn't have gone)
So, I went and tried to eat a little ( wasn't really too hungry) and we waited until it began to get dark. Now, they don't have TV right now...it won't be hooked up until Monday and they didn't have a radio so they had not heard the weather forecast. Truthfully, I hadn't heard it either. But as we waited...I saw dark clouds moving in and wind. I told them it looked like rain was coming
So, I called home to ask hubby if he was watching TV or had heard the weather. He was asleep and didn't hear the phone.
So, we thought we would try it. So, her friend took his huge bag of fireworks to the edge of her back yard at the lake...and had just set one of them off ( one of those that goes way up in the air and explodes into a fountain of colors) when a second later we heard a crack of thunder and a streak of lightning went out across the lake.
It couldn't have been a second longer until the sky opened up with a heavy down pour of rain!! He was grabbing his fireworks and trying to hurry and get back on the porch. More lightning came and we all went inside. I'll have to say, watching a storm over a lake is interesting.
So, we waited for the storm to pass which it did and we went out again in hopes of seeing some fireworks
He set a couple off....and another storm came in More heavy rain and lightning!! So, we all run back inside again.
By this time, it's getting late and I told him to just save them and we'd do it another time.
So, the following day ( Saturday) they only said we had a chance of rain...but it didn't look much like it so he wanted to try again Saturday.
So, I go back to her house and we tried once again to set off fireworks.
I guess the forces just wasn't with us cause the sky opened up again...in a heavy down pour.
So, I asked him would they still be OK next year? He said he thinks they would be So, I said lets just wait until next year ( or maybe New Years Day)
So, that was it...no parades, no picnics and no fireworks. Oh well, Mother Nature always wins
There was actually some storm damage here Friday night. I saw on TV this couple who lived in a mobile home ( it had aluminum siding with a tin roof) and the wind just peeled their roof off as if opening a can of sardines! There was broken lumber and insulation scattered all around..and of course it rained inside their home. I felt really bad for them. I hope they had insurance..but I didn't hear them say. The American Red Cross is helping them now.
Something like that could happen to any of us. And I am sure it has happened to some of you. What a horrible thing to go through It makes you thankful to lie down in bed with a roof over your head at night. I maybe didn't get to see any fireworks, but I had a clean bed and a solid home. Sometimes we're well off and don't know it.
Well, I hope all of you have a good week. I am still helping my daughter move and unpack things. It's been a big job. She went from a large place to a small one...and finding room is an adventure.
