why lie about what you look like

I was reading caressmewell's blog entitled [post 481524] in which she asks the question why do people lie about their age?

It got me to thinking, not with regard to lying about one's age but why do people send you pics taken some years ago or touched up from a photo shoot?

What do people expect when you meet and they look nothing like the pic??

The mind boggles!!! If you can't be true to yourself, how can you be true to anyone else, especially if you are starting a friendship or even a relationship!!

Has society of today made people so vain??

Cool, I'm your muse today...

I can understand someone wanting to use a good photo of themself but if the photo is more than a year old it should not be used. I think part of it is laziness on the persons part using an old photo. With digital technology so affordable today there is no reason to be using old photos.

Before meeting someone I will ask for a current photo, if they refuse to show me one I end things there.

You are often my muse as am a regular reader of your blog

Especially with digital technology, if you don't like the photo, it is easy to erase and do another one!!

Perhaps am sometimes to honest in my belief in people

Honesty is always good babes, but yea agree some ppl have their head in the clouds if they think they can get away with old pic's the truth wins out in the end. I had a guy send me mail a while back was in his 50s, he attached a pic NOT digital but had been scanned, of when he was in his late 20s so go figure that one....lol...

For me I haven't taken many pictures in the last year or so but I also don't try and hide who I am. I have put on an extra 20 or 30 pounds but I still look very similar to my pictures. Now I do need to create new pictures though because I no longer have long hair. Part of it on my time is very busy as it is. I also always forget to take the pictures on my digital when get home.

I change my hair color every few weeks! But my pics are all recent. I love being 47 and feel great. I often meet people who think I am at-least 10 years younger but age does not bother me. I never think about it and if anyone asks me my age I struggle to remember how old I am as I never think about it!!!!!!
