Things will definitely get better. Unfortunately, no one said life was a picnic, or that it was fair. It's tough for all of us. Sometimes tougher, sometimes easier, but everyone has bad times. I lost both my parents, and a sister. Dropped out of half a dozen colleges, had trouble holding down jobs, got into a bad, sexless marriage with an abusive spouse...

I just turned 45. I'm having the time of my life. I'm told I don't look more than 35, and don't feel a day over 25. Going to parties, dating women your age, laughing, playing, making friends, having fun.

Yea, things are still tough. Money's tight, ex-wife is still a pain to have to deal with... but life is all in the attitude. If you concentrate on the bad stuff, and be all angsty, emo, "woe is me," you're never going to see the silver linings.

But when the going gets tough, if you get tougher, if you make lemonade when life hands you lemons, if you see the glass as half full, things will seem - and go - that much better.

So I guess what I'm saying is: If things can't get much worse, they can only get better, right? And life can get better if you always keep looking for the positive side of things. There's light at the end of every tunnel.

Just gotta hang in there.
