Things my father used to ask/tell me

These are some of the things my father used to ask or tell me when I was growing up!!

1) What the hell were you thinking of? (I don't know dad and I still don't know to this day)

2) Are you trying to heat the outdoors? (I dunno dad)

3) Why is he laying on our front lawn like that? (My buddy was wasted) (I guess he's tired dad)

4) Hello stranger! (After not coming home for a week when I was only sixteen or after doing ninety days in the hole when I was seventeen. Thanks for the support dad)

5) Don't do any drinking tonight! (Yeah right dad. Your going to have to communicate a little better than that with me)

6) Shut the hell up! (After he hit my mother when I was seven)

7) I'm going to ship you off to a army school! ( ok. It would probably be better than living with your ass)

My family. Royally fucked up!

I left this link on Tillerbabe's blog too ... Unfolding The Rose ...

We cannot choose our parents, or family ... we can choose our friends. We DO go through life with let downs, hurts and joy ... and what really sucks! is that we do not always get to choose or decide if we want to.

I see and know a lot of what you say here ... I have worse to tell, but that is my story ... for now I will focus on yours. It is good you let it out, shout it out! Many people visit here and read, not many post, but hey ... it is fine, I also see it each and every day!

It just means what we have to say gets in deeper, touches the places which leaves a person speechless and lets them think.

Don't deprive yourself of knowing that you write from your soul ...
