I do not want to use my blog here to complain. Sure, I need to vent like the rest of us. There seems to be some very nice people coming here and making comments on my blog. Thank you very much!!! I would like for them to have a positive, learning, growing experience here and not listen to stories about how I can not get laid and about scamers. I know why I am not getting laid. I want more than just sex. I want love and friendship and all of that. I debated about renewing my membership here because of the poor and frustrating results I have had looking for a partner. I did renew because I have found a good purpose with this: these blogs and my friends here. However, I want to provide some actual facts about some of the scams going on from ‘fake profiles’ on AdultFriendFinder.
This is an example of the type of e-mails I receive 3 or 4 times a week.
“Hey, how's everything going for you? Things here are going good. This is Angie from the personals and I was wondering if your still single? I'm not sure if you still remember me but I thought I would hit you up again to see if you would want to chat sometime!!! So, check out my new profile at onlinedatingmachines com/angieswebsite/ Well have a great day and I hope to hear back from you soon!!! Bye for Now, Angie “
As any good investigating journalist will do, I looked. There is a home page with a few photos. The photos of this girl do not match any of the one’s I responded to on AdultFriendFinder. Then you are redirected to a registration page. Most of these sites want to give a person free memberships, but they want your credit card info to verify your age. They charge a monthly fee of $30 a month. Many of the e-mails I receive say that there is phone numbers, address and other contact information there, but there is nothing like that, just nude photos. Some have links to AdultFriendFinder on their sites. they are from “DIGI-GROUP BVBA Franse Weg 2 2920 Kalmthout Belgium” The profiles I am responding to and getting the responses from are local, in my city and my state. After going through their motions, I can not find this “Angie” person on their site. In other words, they have lured me onto their site under false pretenses.
Okay, back to more poems and art and other finer things in life.
