A very sad day

Today being Mothers Day is a very rough day, especially the lastfew years. My mother died nearly 10 years ago now. I took my grand children to the cemetary to spend some time and let them ask questions.

It is also the second year we have had to celebrate it without my oldest son. You see my son was killed in that War for Oil we are involved in. He was only 24 years old when he died a very untimely and horrific death. He was ambushed while on patrol trying to protect the people of Iraq.

I am very proud om my son for being willing to put his life on the line for a people he did not know. I really thought this country learned something from the other war we had no business being part of. I fought in that war and really thought my kids would know peace in their lifetimes. But, I was wrong as usual.

I know many brave men and women have lost their lives so far away from home. So I am asking everyone that reads this to do one thing. When you hit your knees or say your thanks to God, that you ask hime to bless all the mothers who's
celebration of Mothers Day will never be the same again. Thanks a greatful da and veteran

Sarge, good for you and the pride in your son! He was brave and he had that instilled in him from you I would imagine. And I am impressed that you would write about something so personal. It shows your integrity especially towards the mothers. Thank you!
