Going To The Movies

So, I went to the movies last night and saw The Wedding Crashers. Paid $7 to get in and then got a popcorn and soda $12.50.

I really enjoy going to the movies but lately it has really started to SUCK. Paid almost $20 to go in and sit through 15 commercials before the movie started. I am talking full length 60 second commercials hawking everthing from soda to tennis shoes.

I don't mind commercials but the movie was suppose to start at 7:15 and it didn't start until 7:40 because of all the commercials. Didn't my admission fee cover the production of the film? Didn't the fact that I bought stale popcorn and a soda (the same soda that was being advertised in the commercials) help the owner of the movie theater?

My point is there are fees that you pay to help the movie producers make money and they make TONS of cash off the admissions fee alone. I didn't come to the movies to pay for about a half hour of commercials before the movie even starts. If I wanted commercials I would have just stayed at home and watched TV. I don't have to pay for those commercials and I can change the channel if I don't want to watch them.

Anyway, just another observation.
Thanks for visiting

You are so right. We can always get up and move to another seat so we can get a better view. Heck, I would even bring a couple of phone books for you to sit on to hike you up high enough to see over that ladies big hair.

Haven't figured out how to get by the incredible avalanche of commercial advertising that invades every aspect of our lives yet. Still working on it though...

Thanks for your visit and comment, I truly love the interaction on this blog.
