Tell me more!

Anyone who has a comment on Pink Floyed feel free to tell me. Especially those of you that are old enough to have seen them live.

ok, i do like Pink Floyd, but I do have several issues, if you'll indulge me.

1) I don't like the ending to Hey You. The violins, very bizzare.

2) I used to make myself listen to The Trial, and it was then that I had my first panic attack. I was 10. I used to look at the inside of the Album cover to The Wall for hours.

3) Floyd should not be played on sunny, summer days. It is my contention that nobody wants to hear "Welcome to the Machine" on their way to the beach.

4) "Bike" was a runner up for our Class song at the Prom. I started that, but we lost to "More than a Feeing" by Boston. How fucking lame is that?

5) I never have seen them live, but my brother did, and he told me later that if he had to be stuck in time somewhere, he would choose Floyd at the Continental Arena in Jersy. I guess that means he enjoyed himself?

LET'S GO METS!!!

the only way to listen to pink floyd is to listen to the entire album, beginning to end.

Wish You Were Here and Animals are the best for that... but they're all good that way.

I never saw them live... Wished I had.

I can understand your issues about Floyed. You definitely have to be in the mood to get fully into them. I love about everything that they did, but I do not concider every one of their songs to be great songs. But when you listen to it all together it makes sense. When I have a problem that I can't seem to work out... I put on The Wall and listen all the way through, and by the time it is over, as if by magic the solution seems so clear that I can't believe that I didn't see it before. I guess it is because I realize no matter how bad I may feel like I have it, things will never be as screwed up for me as they were for Pink, and my problems pale in comparison to his. Thanks for the comments.

You are right man! Floyed is to be enjoyed like a fine wine. I have spent many a night outside watching the fire men dance to Floyed. I too wish I could have seen them!
