Last night someone tried to sneak into my appartment. OK, go ahead and try, but this person had keys. (S)he tried them in the lock, and inside I heard that someone is trying to enter. I stood inside, so that the first thing this person would see, would be me. I remember feeling a bit nervous, but in any case the fact was that I was right and the person was wrong (for trying to brake in) So the feeling of being right calmed me down...

Right after I got ready with my stance, (s)he got the door open and was ready to come in, looking a bit astonished since I was there, but at the same time, the dream (a nightmare actually) ended and I woke up. I didn't even have the chance to see the intruder's face properly.

I agree, it has some connections to the real world, but still...

It's really weird when dreams have elements in them or operate in a fashion that so closely mimicks cinematic technique. Like this dream here is essentially a classic "cliff hanger" in which you are left wondering with no real answers about who the person is trying to break in or why they were doing it.

I see these kinds of weird dream from time to time, it's a bit the same as in the dreams that end just before the "climax", for example the nightmares where you die, but which end just before that. Like in the film of Kassowitz in which the slogan of the film is "it's not the falling but the landing/crashing". I prefer these lighter dreams though, even though they're as weird...
