Anymore.

I am very attracted to travelers and adventurers. It is these people I most connect with in a deep and understanding way. It is through travel and new experiences that I am most alive. That I am most myself. That I am without place, stuff, familiar obligations and what I already know so well. It is no longer possible to see my home, workplace, or a homegrown circle of friends. Those are gone. I made the break. What is left is me.

It is on the road, or at sea, that I am most aware, most sensual and most able to give or experience pleasure. I have time for people. I make time for a lover.

Language differences are not a deterrent. My best travel companions are a Dutch man and a Swiss woman. Understanding, body language, eye contact and maybe a few words are often all it takes to start something new. Whether it be a torrid or sensual liason, travel to another country, or a new project.

Adventures are best shared, if even for a short time. However, for me, it is better to go alone rather than not go at all.

Succumb to the urge to go. Choose to surrender to beauty and desire.

I had a successful and stressful corporate career. Now I relax and flow with circumstances. Of course my circumstances are very intentional. A beautiful sailboat in the Caribbean. An ocean crossing. Siestas in Spain. Endless hours at cafes, walks with friends, international dinner parties, markets, new places, new cultures, new people. I am not tempted to impose myself so much in these situations. And so things happen because I am ready. Open. Willing.

People often ask what it is that I run 'from.' I smile. It is what I run towards. It is what I do on the way . . . that matters.

Explicit reporting can be delicious. Mystery can be lovely. Making new stories is a requirement.

I agree completely, travel and the adventures you have on them are incredible...Life is definately a journey, not a destination...I may be going to hell in a bucket, but at least i am enjoying the ride............I wish you lots of smooth sailing, with the wind at your back..............

Hi Sailingthoo, I'm from Anne Arundel County, Maryland and am trying to get my voyage off of dry dock, here in Glen Burnie. I keep getting lost, and end up someplace out of the country with AdultFriendFinder, and wonder what I'm doing wrong. I think basically the membership software is trying to give me the boot, as they keep asking me for membership $$$, and I'm checking this out to see if it's worth the long term committment. What do you think, would you recommend it to somebody who's not totally part of the program ..yet? Locolguy

I'd much prefer a close to broad reach than the wind at my back. It's not getting where you're going that is important, but going where you're getting.

Life's a reach, then you jibe.
