Years ago I started my own business. It was an escort service. Basically I matched men (and sometimes women) looking for an escort with my college-age ladies who worked as escorts.

It was all perfectly legal as long as my role remained that of a referral service. The legal lines blurred once the discussion of sex came into it, and if you know anything about escort services in the late 70s in Boston, discussions of sex came into it. I was never charged with a crime, but the facts remain...

To act as a go-between or liaison in sexual intrigues; to function as a procurer of said sex, is illegal. This is pandering. This is the function of pimps.

My question... why does an independent businessman who creates a needed service get charged with pandering, while AdultFriendFinder does the same thing (and I am not knocking it, so cool your jets before you censor me) and it is perfectly fine? People here pay money for the sex hookup. Men all up and down the discussion boards say they are here for sex. I am here for sex. Would it make us all feel better if AdultFriendFinder bitch-slapped us now and then?

I never thought of it that way ru, meaning that the money I pay for my memebership here is really for sex. Hmm... The shitty response time and losing messages and blogs and f-ed up technical state of this site is bitch slapping enough!

I'm also reminded of online gaming. Online gambling is illegal in the US, but millions of people do it.

People come here looking for sex?!?
I'm just here for the articles.

It dawns on me that this is worse than pandering. At least with the pimp/ho relationship, the ho occasionally gets paid.
