I’m feeling like something out of Fitzgerald’s imagination: the eyes of Dr. T. J. Eckleburg peering down on the Land of Blog.
In honor of the new photo, just a few important quotes to note:
“You cannot depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus.”
“When have I last looked on,
The round green eyes and the long wavering bodies,
Of the dark leopards of the moon?”
--W. B. Yeats
“O thou with dewy locks, who lookest down
Through the clear windows of the morning, turn
Thine angel eyes upon our western isle,
Which in full choir hails thy approach, O Spring!”
“Beauties in vain their pretty eyes may roll; charms strike the sight, but merit wins the soul.”
“Ah, poor our sex! This fault in us I find,
The error of our eye directs our mind.
What error leads must err; O then conclude,
Minds swayed by eyes are full of turpitude.”

My what green eyes you have. I've never ever seen a man with green eyes. I guess living in a village of many Swedes explains that.|
I like this photo.

>>>[blog Dysgyzed]... you are certainly welcome, darlin'. You know you can come here anytime for a cup of sugar, or a good quote.|
This is another of those posts that I wrote in the old days before I realized you were supposed to respond more in the blogs.
Sorry to say that Lil has disappeared recently (see APB for Lil). She was a great friend.
And for a variety of reasons Barbiebunny69 had to morph into barbiebunny. And she rarely comes to this end of BlogLand anymore... which is too bad.
At least [blog straightten2002] is still about and visiting this blog. We like that.
