I Wonder..........

I often wonder how it is that people are the way they are. We try as we may, and it seems to never be enough. We are all seeking happiness and contentment in our lives and aren't sure we will ever find it. Will we even know when we do? We are so blind to what really matters and our minds are cluttered with our own selfish wants and needs, how could we see it if it were in front of us. We live life looking on the other side of the fence, thinking the grass is greener there. Little do we know, when we get to the other side, we find ourselves looking back to the side we just came from thinking, is the grass greener over there? No matter which side we're on, we're constantly looking to the other side, questioning, thinking, we might find something better. When do we say, I am happy! and stop the merry-go-round?

Well as true as that may be, we never really know if it is greener or not unless we cross that fence and find out.... A lot of the time it is just an illusion?

I got off the ride awhile ago when I learned reality is only your point of view. There is no fence. Plus I hate to chase my own tail LOL

I posted a blog on this very subject myself entitled..Are we really ever truly content?Check it out & see what you think?

I believe that "with our hands on our hearts",we are NEVER FULLY content with what we have. Most of us just settle for something that is close to what we think is our ideal.

One person cannot possibly fulfill the needs of another 100%.Normally it's a combination of two or more people that satifies our wants & needs.

Don't you agree?

The true goal for me is to keep the balance between contentment and ambition. To have goals in life that I'm striving to achieve keep my mind and body energized. But in the journey toward those goals you have to be careful not to lose the wonderful things in life that you already have. Friends, loved ones, home, job . . . . . living with and enjoying all the gifts you've been given (or earned) can be done while reaching for that next star. You just have to realize that the star will always be there and not forsake everything else in it's persuit.

Witchywomen I could not have said it better you are quite philosophical. I wish my ex-wife could read this, she left because she thought it was greener and more plush but what she realized when she got there was a mirage of what she had and since she got a drink of reality she now sees brown barren landscape. She wanted to come back to my side of the fence but it was too late to mend the relationship. I knew what I had and thought she did as well but I was wrong.I have learned in life that your partner seems happy but in reality they think it is better somewhere else. I have a saying

"If you both have fun mowing your lawn together there is no other better"
