why do somany people that contact me here (not in blog land, but in email) want me to talk to them somewhere else? Have we just gotten so accustom to instant IM's that we do not write anymore? When you think about it... emails are so much faster than snail mail... and IM is... well instant... but still what about the old fashioned note or letter saying things about oneself. Maybe i'm too oldfashioned for my own good, but I really like use this system for a while before moving on to "chatting"

Just my opinion...

The faster the communication system, the better the chance for follow-up on questions, clarification, and exploring interesting things that come up during the conversation. In addition, the instant type of communication is not contrived, thus, there is a better chance of getting honest answers.
