Just A Thought...

Just A Thought...

Listen to the sounds of the sea at night.
The breakers crashing against the rocks
with a gentle fury.
The quiet retreat of the departing foam.

Have you ever wondered where the waves go?
Do they drift down the beach to see
the lovers walking together...
or do they slip down under the pier
to spy on the old man sitting alone?

caressmewell, I find them very relaxing and calming. I have always had a very special place in my heart and soul for the sea.

If there is a "Rock-n-roll" heaven, with a hell of a band...
then there ought to be a wave heaven to kick back and enjoy, also.

I'm sorry they bother you, Papy. But then, since you are awake; does that mean hubby gets lucky. Or does he duck from your lack of sleep? LOL...

Thanks for stopping by. hug, unlisted

Me, too... straightten. I could sit down on the beach, or up on a balcony and listen to it all day long.

Welcome to my blog. It is an honor to have you drop by. Friends are always welcome here. I really enjoy and respect you and your blog.

Bravo!

When I was young I lived on the west coast and would visit the beach and sand and sun from time to time. I never knew where the waves went, but I enjoyed it so when they would arrive from their travels, sliding quietly, sometimes crashing, upon the shore. Hello!

Coc...thanks for stopping by.
The ocean is a lot of fun. I love watching a kid seeing it for the first time. They want to go near, then they don't!

I do miss the beach. Probably get down their next week... for a day or two. (The advantage of living close to it.)

Fly... thanks for coming by. I hope you enjoy yourself here. But then, I rather imagine you enjoy yourself anywhere.
The ocean can have that reaction to someone the first time they see it.

Good thought, Polly.

I know after a while, even the ocean can become "gray" noise. So you really now longer register the sound.

And when you are sitting on the beach at night, alone, lost in thought, you may see and hear it; but you really don't. Hmmmm, will have to think more about this.

Thanks, Polly, you earned a big hug with this one.... unlisted
