Flowers, Raindrops, and Smiles...

Flowers, Raindrops, and Smiles

If I could give you a gift
it would be that you could see me as I really am.
Just me... nothing hidden,
especially my heart.

You make me smile in ways I had forgotten.
Laugh at times for thinking of something
you either said or did.

You've guided me
through stormy nights
and times when I couldn't
find the light of day.
You didn't ask
anything of me...
you were just there.

It was a long winter
and the days
and nights
weren't always kind.

But with the coming of Spring,
I have found you...
your flowers, raindrops, and smiles.

You have given me new hopes
new dreams to carry
me through Summer, now Fall.

Winter is coming again.

Straightten, thank you... I'm glad you liked it.

It's always nice to have you stop by. It makes me feel good when a friend stops in, and I can make them smile. You are always a "welcomed" friend here.

Silk, one of the things that is so great about blogland, is that I have come to meet so many lovely people here.

You are one of them.

Glad you like them. gentle thoughts, unlisted

Goddess, I hope you are right about knowing about the other season to come.

But we have to think that way, don't we. To do other than that, would be quitting. And neither one of us really knows how to do that. We keep going... with only faith sometimes... but we keep going.

This past week, I was putting the final touches on my calendar for next year. I'm already booked into it pretty solid. I did try and leave a week for just myself this next summer. Hope that doesn't have to change. I could use a little downtime right now. Perhaps, I can find a weekend somewhere. I guess that's planning on a future, huh!

Have a beautiful week and weekend, my dearest of friends, unlisted

Huny, I have thought about you these last couple of days. Checking to make sure the severe weather wasn't being a danger for you.

Funny, blogland is cyber,... but I do worry for my friends when things around them aren't as they should be. Does anyone else think like that? Or am I just getting too old and worry about these things too much? I just like knowing my friends are well and safe.

Winter isn't my real thrill, either. That's one of the reasons I moved down "off the mountain."

Come by anytime, hun... you are always a sight for sore eyes.

Polly, I like it, also.

As most have probably gathered here, I wear my heart on my sleeve. And it has taken a beating... but it's still there. I won't put it away anywhere safe.
I can't.
To do so, would be to accept that I've been beaten down to the point that I don't care to love, or care to "dare to love" anymore. I pray that I'm never accused of being that way.

There is a part of me, that loves each and every one of the family of friends that come by here regularly. You, and many others, mean more to me than I can ever tell you. I wouldn't want it any other way.

I want you to know, I have tried to comment on your thoughts about your mom's birthday. I had it open to comment for a couple of hours today, and couldn't find the words for how your post has touched me. Perhaps I may never be able to do so. But it was beautiful, Polly. Very beautiful.

I'm always glad when I see you have stopped by here. It gives me a warm, easy feeling. soft hug, unlisted

Thanks Polly, for these thoughts. It seems we do think very much alike about our family here.

"Eyes" is busy right now sorting through some things. I wish I could help her... though in truth, I've probably already made it more difficult for her. I hope when she is ready to return, she will have figured it out. Giving friends space is sometimes the hardest thing to do. Whichever way she goes, I will always have a special place for her. Like you, she is a pretty special lady. I'm honored to be "shared" by the two of you.

Warmest hug to you, Polly, unlisted

I didn't involve myself with the early sales. The word is out, the sales will probably get even better toward xmas. Sooo, I'll gamble a bit and try and wait things out some.

Thank you for season hopes for a healthy, happy season. May yours be the one you always hoped for. hug, unlisted
