Final Thought for the Year 2005...

"The wisdom
of the old man
is lost inside youth.
The dreams are the same though."

It's true, you know. The dreams we have as a young person are the same dreams we have when we get older. They're just more refined.

I won't talk about material things. To each his own. I won't talk about money... that is decided by what your career/job is... or your heritage.

But I will speak of dreams of love, desires, intimate moments, with someone close. For these are the same dreams, no matter what the age.

And yes, the wisdom is lost inside youth. We were looking so hard during the moment, we didn't realize the moment would someday come back and haunt us. For every step I took right in my life, I probably took at least two steps wrong. Some of those steps cost a great deal, now that I can see them for what they were.

Fate? Karma? Chance? Who knows... and if the truth be told, it doesn't really matter now. But what does matter, is a time of forgiveness and regret.

Yes, I'm am sorry for some things I have done. And some of those times hurt others... and they didn't deserve to be hurt. So I have asked them to accept my apology for the wrong I've done. I can only hope that when my time is done, I'll find that they forgave.

Am I clearing my table... my life? Yes.
I want to be able to start anew. To put aside all the things I've been carrying with me for so long. To be able to look at a sunrise, and understand it is also a new day for me. So, I have asked for forgiveness.

What does any of this have to do with wisdom being lost inside youth; and dreams being the same, no matter the age? Everything. There has to come a time when a person has to take measure... of themselves.

I've taken that measure... and found myself lacking. Lacking in my own self. Not living up to not only my expectations; or the expectations of those around me. For that, I am truly sorry. For that, I will endeavor to overcome.

Yes, we all dream. We all love and care and cherish. And we should. We should never forget to do those things. Not just for ourselves; but for each other.

If I have given you a hug here... know each and everyone of them was truly meant from the heart.

If I gave a smile to you... each was sent in a spirit of caring and love.

If I presented a kiss... then there was a true intimate moment shared.

"The wisdom of the old man
is lost inside youth.
But the dreams are the same.
For each of us
has our own wisdom...
and each of us are forever young...
within our minds."

So, to end 2005, I give to each of my friends...
a warm hug...
an easy smile...
and a soft kiss... unlisted
