redswallow777 - Well.. .I do know that some things when they are cooked at a different consistency, etc., can chemically change its makeup... and, whereby, its flavors can be altered in accordance to this checmical altercation.

Txrose, I don't think the two plants are related. The cocoa bean, native to south america is an evergreent tree. The coffee bean, native to Africa comes from the coffee tree or bush. The process by which the seeds are prepared is similiar. Both the cocoa and the coffee bean are seperated from their husks usually after some fermentation to make it easier to remove the husks. The beans are then roasted to develope their inherent flavors. Afterwards they are crushed. Chocolate goes thru several more processes at this point while the coffee is ready to brew. Both of these food products came to the old world around the early 1600s.

Just curious....was the chocolate milk or dark chocolate....perhaps mocha flavored(combination of chocolate and coffee flavors)...? Perhaps you have great tastebuds that can detect the roasting of the beans....or even more amazing, you might be able to note their similiar fermentation?????

I'm like that other chocolate, melts in your mouth, not in your hands!

cajunpet -- while the cocoa beans are similar to the coffee beans, are they really from the same family of fauna that would have the lingering coffee flavors in the chocolate???? hmmmm...

cumtounge44 - Actually, there is a long list of aphrodisiacs for me; chocolate being only one of many -- strawberries and shrimp does it for me too, among other things!!!

Chocolate...a food prepared from ground roasted cacao beans, made by mixing chocolate with water or milk. Cacao beans are similar to coffee beans.

Is there a science advisor in SexyFit's cabinet here in Blogville? Beuller? Beuller?

Just for giggles and grins... Was the chocolate melted because it was in your Grande Caramel Machiato???
