Why do people insist that they have the right phone number???

Auuughhh....

I have an incoming phone call on my cell phone with no caller id. I pick it up to see what it is about....

"Is Sharee there?"

"No."

"Awww, man. I know that she is right there, let me talk to her."

"No, there is no Sharee here. You must have the wrong number."

"No, I don't. I have called this number a million times."

"No, I think I would remember if you called my number a million times and I would be calling the phone company with harrassment since I don't know who you are."

"Sharee isn't there????"

"No, I told you. You have the wrong number."

"Please. Just let me talk to Sharee."

"No. Noone by that name is here."

"I know her number. It is @@@-@@@-1668."

"Sooooorrrry, buddy. You are off. Wrong #!!!!"

(I hang up the phone!!)....

LOL.... I hope that I don't constantly get this character!!!....or, maybe I'll pretend to be Sharee someday....lol!!!!

Have a good day!!! and, may all of your phone calls be good connects!!!

TxRose

hbgirl2 - Unfortunately, I think we have been guilty of giving out the wrong numbers. I have been known to pretend to give a guy a phone number (back in the day when I frequented bars with a group of my friends) but it would actually be the number to information -- you know, 555-1212 (especially, if I felt that they were real losers). Most of the time, they were too drunk to realize...or the lighting was so bad that they couln't actually see it as they tried to read it....and, oftentimes, I would stick it personally in their pocket so that they wouldn't look at it right away.
