When are you too old????

bbw33sable posted about her turning 35 and complaining about that!!! Gee, if I were only 11 years younger again!!! lol....

Fact of the matter is that my Mom always claimed that she was 29 years old. Every year, we would ask her how old she was...and she always replied to everyone...."29".

When I turned thirty though, I turned to her and said "Now, people are REALLY going to talk and wonder if I am that postman's child!!!" hee... hee....

She is now 70 years old, but looks like most people MIGHT look in their 50's. She has always looked so incredibly young. I only hope that I can carry on that tradition.....

hmmm... maybe I am not that postman's child after all!!! lol.....

Kind of on the same line, I get a kick out of all the people looking for Younger. Yah it's great but not often practical. If you are 58 and 54 is too old for you it's time to "wake up and smell the coffee, baby cakes"

I believe once you start feeling old, you lost your focus and outlook in life. Enjoy it all, take it in, and pretend you are at your favorite age! NEVER FEEL OLD!

Something I've heard before is "You're only as old as the woman you feel." but it probably works for ladies too.

my gradmother is 74 and doesn't look a day over 60, although the 30-50 year age span is harsh on our family once past it we seem to age gracefully

My mom pulled the 29 trick on us too. After a few years I lost track of what her age really was so that strategy appears to be effective. (at least on children)

Youth can be ignorant. Age has little to do with desire or even performance. I know that at 62 I'm a much better lover than at 32. Frankly I'm better all around. Can I still run that 100 yard dash. No, but who the hell wants to waste their time doing that anyway?

ProtonicMan - I like to think of it as being not quite at that age where I am the only one 115 years old, for example (an age that no one expects to live to really)!!

lol.. Thanks.....

I knew someone who put it this way: "Old is what her parents hadn't yet reached."

Following that philosophy, "old" for you would be an octagenarian. LOL

The only time you're too old is when you think you are!! Live every day like it's your last and you'll never feel too old!!

Like the previous post said, age is just a number.

(note that only us old folks say these things!!)
