Too much p.d.a.????

As I was walking in a mall the other day, I heard a guy turn to his gal that he was walking with and say to her, "too much p.d.a. for me", as she was trying to give him a kiss on his cheek. I chuckled to myself as he said this. It has been for-ever since I have heard someone say this.

To me, a kiss, holding hands, and hugs do not constitute too much p.d.a., but (apparently) others would beg to differ on that.

At what point do you feel that it is too much p.d.a. (public display of affection)? Just curious....

Sort of hard to conceive that someone would think a hug and kiss in the middle of a mall isn't the thing to do! Go for it, no one else cares what you do ... it is your decision to do it...and if the moment is right ... On the other hand, ripping your pants off and hitting the mall floor might just be too much for the "authorities" and I think I would balk at that... [image] old picture before major diet... Jim

I don't mind what other people do, so long as my daughter doesn't have to see it.

I haven't decided where the line is for me yet. My g/f lives too far away to see her often enough to have that figured out yet. But she has let me go farther than my eX did.

Depends on the person and their upbringing. Some may have been taught that it's not seemly to display affection in public...others may not have a problem with it.

Me...don't really demonstrate affection much in public...though I'm becoming more comfortable with it. It's taken me a long time to overcome the brainwashing.

I have been in clubs where close to anything goes. I do think it depends on the environment though. If I take my grand daughter to play at the park, hope her three year old eyes don't see past the kiss, hug, or holding hands which are family friendly.
