Oh, yeah... metrosexual!

LOL....

I was ROFLMAO while reading tattooedartist's blog, tattooedartist, about his post dated 8/16/05 on Metrosexuality. The post is very well written and had me laughing so hard because it reminds me a lot of me as well insofar as some of the antics he comes up with.

Some of the respondants were wondering why there had to be labels of any sort though, which is a valid point. Why is it that we have to label anyone with a label???

Of course, it is nice to know their sexual orientation... ie, a gay guy may not appreciate my flirting with him as much as a guy who is straight.

Metrosexuality is certainly a nice way to mention that a guy isn't gay, albeit he might have some evidences that he has been in touch with his fem side (or it might even be a physical quality about him that might reveal a certain fem quality such as the "metrosexual lips" in the photo to the side). Question though - what is the label for a woman who isn't a lesbian, albeit she might have some evidence that she has been in touch with her male side???? I don't think that I have heard of such a label.

To some, it is more acceptable that a woman is like that and she might be called a tomboy...but, when a man is exhibiting fem qualities, he is metrosexual. Why is that????

I am certainly turned on by a guy that fits the metrosexual type of male. There is something undeniably sexy about a man that can let go of the macho image and just be himself.

Gals: Do you also find yourself attracted to the metrosexual type of guy???

Guys: Do you find that your are attracted to a gal that has some tomboy qualities???

lol....

Probably just pieces of the puzzle that may never fit together to provide a reasonable answer....but, certainly worth the asking.....

What do you think of the labels?

Do other sexual orientation lables come to your mind? and, if so, what are they????

Just curious...

alice593 - Good point! However, it is always nice to know exactly what is meant behind all the labels.

WizardTim12 wrote the right word. Liberated, and also could be Equaling of Sexes. I have had feminine inclinations all my life, and I'm not ashamed of it. I love doing male things as I am, or thought I was, a male. I enjoy feminizing more, and feel more comfortable that way. That is why I am starting to transgender. There shouldn't be any labels. It seems to be a stigma in this country to do it. People are who they are, because the being above causes it to happen.

TxRose, Isn't a metrosexual a man who takes the time to look younger and healthier? You know, manicure, pedicures, facials etc. Have you not noticed the new wave of healthy skin care products flooding the market? What do you think is driving this need to look young? Does a man have the right to do that without being labeled?

I think they're called Smithies.
