I think I am going to cry....

Tonight a very dear friend of mine who has bragged for years and years on how he loves playing his guitar, called me up tonight and played me some tunes he and his brother been developing.

After playing the music, he told me how much that he appreciated me just being there for him throughout the years and how much it has been nice to know that there is a logical person out there -- not like the gals that are in his community -- and has been supportive of him.

It isn't very often that you really do hear how appreciated you are by someone...and it is nice to hear that every now and then.

Have you hugged your friend today and told them how much your care for them lately???

Just wanted to share my joy and...

let you know that I, too, appreciate all my friends in Blogland.

Con amor y paz,

TxRose

Certainly, elmexicano_2k, a lesson in setting the boundaries of a friendship, huh??

Have a great weekend, but be careful who you grope. lol...

When something grows in value, it is said to "appreciate". It is good to be appreciated by friends.
Thanks, newaroundhere64, for bringing up that good point. It is certainly something that we should all remember.....

Appreciation can be sign of a growth of a friendship as well.

Very cool... yes, we all want to feel needed and appreciated. So was his playing and songs good?
The playing was awesome! It was on an electrical guitar and was a blended sound of country rock unlike I have ever heard before. I am encouraging him to put together a CD. The are having a show in October that I wish I could be a fly on the wall to see.

We'll see...

In the meantime, it was sooooo very nice to be appreciated.

Mandy, awww....Thanks! I have observed your blogs back in early 2005 onward, and become reaquainted with them as I slowly become reaquainted with who is who in Blogland, and I have to admit that you have had a remarkable emotional growth. The transformation is awesome and I continue to read your blogs (hopefully, throughout the years to come) to see where your journey may lead you. Maybe we'll see you have your own tv show called, Dr. Mandy, who is much more real than Dr. Phil.... who knows???

Like you, I get those calls and visits as well from friends. Now my relatives are a whole different ball of wax. They couldn't give a compliment if their life depended on it.
I do know what you mean about family/relatives. I don't get the kind of support from them that I do get from my friends. I love them because they are my family and am unconditionally proud of their accomplishments, but, to them, I am often viewed as the black sheep of the family - or, so I feel. At any rate, life is about choices -- and, part of the choices about my life is to surround myself with positive influences.

In the meantime, I try to put forth as many positive influences on others that I can. When I do die at 98/99 years of age, I hope that you all will remember to put on my headstone -- "one who tried to positively change the world!" lol...

Ms.TxRose that is so, true. But most of folk forget how short time is on this earth. I belong to this group taught me how to tell the one's ILove, that I Love them. Thank for reminding me of that. I just want to thank you for post that.
This is true; life on this is too short. My uncle was taken away to be with the Lord when he was 44 years old and my last husband was taken away at 46 years old in 2002 to join the Lord as well. I know all too well that life can be too short.

This year I have vowed as part of my resolution to work less and play more. Unfortunately, it has been of necessity that I needed to work since the wages aren't comparable by any means to what I was making in 2000-2002. Hopefully, that is about to change, with any kind of luck at all.

In the meantime, you are welcome about the reminder. We all need gentle reminders to keep us on track!!
