Hotline workers are probably the least thanked....

but today I received a thank you card from another hotline organization wherein we worked together to resolve an issue....

"Thank you so much for your assistance on (DATE-SPECIFIED). If you recall, we worked together to get a young woman out of a domestic violence situation and to the .... bus terminal. I really appreciate your help, as well as your compassion for the situation."

In honor of my receiving these thanks, be sure to spread the thanks to, at least, five other people you encounter within the next day or two...and watch them smile!!!

If you have received some thanks, or given some thanks, (or even just thankful) be sure to share your story here.....

pASSionwantd2 - De nada... lol.. Wow! Do you know all those languages, or just found the Thank Yous in each of them?????

alice593 - Glad you are alright. We all have stressors in our lives; it is how we deal with them that gets us through. Glad your nurse friend was there to help deal with some of the stressors you were going through that night. Remember, it is your life. As long as you aren't hurting anyone in the process, you have a right to be who you want to be. BTW, did you watch Primetime last night about being TRAPPED. It would have been a good show for you to watch. You ought to see if anyone recorded it so that you could see it, in the event that you didn't get to.

...and, thank you, as always for your kind compliments.

So people like you deserve the best wishes, and all the thanks you can get in that kind of work.

When I had, what they thought was a mild heartattack thursday night, a lady friend that I work with, made sure that the people trained for CPR were called to help me, as well as my boss, and the nurse at work. She has been such a wonder for me, even in the previous days, when she understood the problems I am going through (psychologically) with this transforming body and brain of mine. With out her, I don't think I could even work there anymore. I am always thankful to her. One person had been tormenting me about my changing body for quite some time now, and it came to a head on wednesday night. But if he does it any more, he will be fired. He called me a fagget, plus gave me a hard time most of the night. I suffered a breakdown, and probably caused what they suspected may have been a slight heart attack thursday night. The gal asked me if I said anything back to him after calling me what he did. I said "no", because I'll probably be called much worse, when I start the Hormone Therapy".
