Changing my perception.....

Now, I must be losing my sanity...

I have just accepted for working for a fourth...and maybe a fifth employer!!! With a daughter in college I need the money.

However, I am beginning to think that I need to change my perspective.... I am an advocate/sales/security consultant engineer!!! (My Grandma was a Home Engineer after all!!! lol.... Why not???)

I am just engineering the complexities of these other business, managing their products or services, etc.

Don't get me wrong. I am sooooo very thankful to have so many differing jobs while many have none. However, I have to sit back every now and then and think about the real sanity in the work that I am doing. Fortunately, I do enjoy the work and working with the people that I do come in contact with.

Insofar as my social life at times, I feel like I am on a fast moving train as the conductor with my head hanging out and waving to the people wanting to come on board....and saying "All aboard!!! Leaving in 5 minutes!!!" Lol....

It isn't quite THAT bad yet b/c I am very organized about my time....and some of the jobs fluctuate week to week in the number of hours I work with them. This is good and, probably the only way that I could consider working for so many places of business.

I don't care really.... just keep that money rolling in!!!

LOL....

"Alllllllll aboard!!! Final destination is whoknowswhere!!!" LOL....

Laters...

five_speed - Well... all of my jobs are not in any one place, excepting the shelter job.....the fact that not all the jobs are in any one place means that I have the variety....and the fact that the shelter job is consistent does provide for some level of stability, albeit the structure of the clients is constantly changing.

I am working towards weaning towards those that make the most money for me; part of not letting go just yet, is the testing the waters to see just how stable they are going to be in spite of the better pay.

I look forward to the day that I won't have to do this any more... One day.... but, even then, because I enjoy being active, I am sure I would just be looking for other things to get my hands into....

I once held a full time job, two part time jobs, and went to college full time. The only way I pulled it off was that the full time job was online, and both part time jobs were in the same building where I had my classes.

talk about being on a burnout track! Most days I got to the building well before the sun came up and left well after it set. But it had to be done. I sure am glad I don't do that anymore...

smileguyqc - Hey! What happend to your photo????? Always enjoyed seeing your smile in your photo!!!

Some are better paying than others, of course. The better paying are very parttime at this time though. I am trying to wean away from the lower paying jobs toward the higher paying jobs...and will probably do so as soon as the higher paying job takes on more clients.

Hey TxRose, 5 jobs? Are you kidding me? Not to be cynical here but which one of your jobs are providing you with health insurance? I think that if you keep this up you are going to need it! Good luck with your careers..................

You must quit a couple of jobs or you won't have any more time for blogging
