Camp in a tent or a cabin?

When you go camping -- do you do it in a tent or a cabin??

How long do you go when you go camping?

Where is your favorite camping spot???

Just curious...

do you need a house keeper? I clean, cook, wash cars, shovel moose crap, walk dogs, raise kids... I tutor english, math, science, java programming, and data networking. I'll sleep under the porch, bath in the lake after you go to bed, and forage for my own food....

I live in Alaska....a lake 20 feet from my front door....the ocean about 150 yards away....I watch the sunset through my front window....and the sunrise from the front yard....Moose come to have babies in my yard....and ducks nest on the lakes edge....It's like I'm camping EVERY DAY.

depends on who I'm with. If i'm with a woman, I ususally go for a cabin, or maybe a tent if they're the adventerous outdoor type, and we stay for however long we can both get away - usually two or three days. I have a cabin right on Gauley River that is great for weekend getaways.

If I am by myself, I take a tarp just in case it decides to rain really hard - but it is to protect some of my gear. I sleep in the rain with my hat over my face. I guess old Ranger habits die hard. I like to hike into the national forest for five or sx days at a time. I've always wanted to make an expidition in Yosemite or in Alaska...

Hmm... after that week in the Georgia Mountains... Cabin!

Not that I'm camping all the time but a week is a good length of time. Depends on the company I suppose.

Favorite? Don't think I have a favorite... Anywhere so long as it's warm, dry, well stocked and in relative proximity to a strip club!

When I go camping I do it in a tent, cabin, tree, water, hood of the name it! Nothing quite like the great outdoors.

After last weekend, maybe a cabin is the way to go.

Of course it rained, and the eternal optomist in me forbade me from checking the tent out. Only the next day did I realise my mattress had been floating on a pool of water. My precious papers soaked. They dried out soon enough. Maybe an excuse to get a new tent. Tough call.

Tent. Open campfire. The bushes as a toilet. Along the Santa Barbara River in the Pecos mountains, northern New Mexico, close to Taos.

Have tongue, will use it. Repeatedly.

If can consider a hotel or condo with a pool, queen side bed, kitchenette and a warm shower/jacuzzi tub a cabin, then definitely a cabin.
