Hate and Lies

{Moving soap box to center stage}
{Stepping up}

Now I try real hard not to be too political.
I keep up with what’s going on in the world around me because a believe as good citizens we must be well informed.
I vote.
I like to think I’m a free thinker.
I’m not stupid.
I’m very capable of forming rational opinions and I enjoy debate with different views.
Other rational well spoken people have made me see things from a different angle and I am man enough to see that their point of view was more valid than mine at times.
Debate is a good thing.
I am not a Republication
I am not a Democrat
I hate party affiliations
I vote for people, not parties.
I think our political parties are corrupt
I think most politicians are corrupt
I have been proud at some point of every president in the office during my adult life
I have also been disgusted with each of them
I’m not very happy with George W Bush right now.
I just read a post called “40 reasons to Hate George W. Bush”. post 353960
Now I don’t want to get off on a rant here but does anyone really totally believe this slanderous bullshit?
Any competent person reading this would see right through it. Can you say agenda!
I fear it’s not the George Bush’s or the Bill Clinton’s of the world we need to worry about, but the hate mongers that write these kind of half truths to perpetuate their brand of hate to the senseless masses. The only people that really embrace this crap are the ones that fly planes filled with innocent men, women and children into buildings filled with workers trying to get there slice of the American Dream for their families. Debate is good and healthy on both sides and that’s part of what this country was founded on but to broadcast lies and half truths with a clear hate filled agenda is so fucking Nazi Germany.
It makes me sick to my stomach anymore to pick up a newspaper, turn on the TV, or even listen to the radio and be berated with lies, innuendos, and conspiracies theories with no point of fact behind them. The source I see these lies protruding from looses face with me like it should with most intelligent people, as a competent source of information. Now normally I would challenge the sayer of the bullshit to approach each and every hate listed as he sees it from his apparently narrow field of vision in topical blog fashion (including facts and sources) to spur further rational discussion, but he would run into obvious issue with the very first hate statement and should go back and review his economics’ 101 course book.

Of course that’s just my opinion and I’ve been wrong before.

I really hate the fact that politicians are wasting taxpayers' money with their attempts (with some success, disgustingly enough) to take people's rights away that they should have as human beings while so many other things seem to be going to shit, so not going to disagree with you at all.

Thanks...I really liked the 250 million dollar bridge in Alaska for 50 people on some island, but I think it was cut out after enough public uproar. Alaska gets more pork per capita than any other State.
We really need to give 487 different people a chance to fuck things up for us.

It cracks me up how people say "check the facts" and then you find out the solurce of their "facts" HA HA HA HA HA HA Then I say consider the source.

I'm with you 100% on this one, and would like to add they way these people will take a totally unrelated "fact" or event or speak and then put it under a magnifying glass and twist it... twiiiiiist it... until it slightly resembles relevance and call it "the truth of the matter" when it in fact bears no truth whatsoever.

I'm sorry, forgot to ask if I could borrow your soapbox for a couple of seconds... how rude of me

Thank You. Thats why I wrote the post. It's one thing to hate, but to hate and then get others to hate along with you by telling lies and twisting facts is just bullshit. And people read that bullshit and believe it as fact. We just need to come together as Americans, no parties, no races, more respect for differing views, less hate mongering.
