What will you be getting for Mother's Day?

We were sitting here watching the results of American Idol and Tim looked at me and asked me what I wanted for Mother's Day. My natural response was, "Nothing".

Now...knowing that we have two boys, I'm sure I'll be getting "something".

Tim usually takes them to the store and lets them pick out my gift. It's a big deal for our youngest son to go shopping and see the "boobie section". Let's see, last year I got a pair of very interesting earrings and a seashell choker necklace...so this year...I can only imagine what I'll get.

Don't you ever wonder what's going through their minds as they are shopping for your presents? I want to know why kids usually pick the most obnoxious gifts? You know, the ones that you'll never wear? I know, I know...they are gifts from the heart, and I'm not saying that I don't make over each gift as if it were a 10-carat diamond ring, but c'mon...a seashell choker????

Tim did have a great idea though, he says that we need to save the gifts and give them to their fiance's as a shower gift. Wouldn't that be hysterical?

So tell me...what's the most interesting gift your kids have given you for Mother's Day or you have given your mother?

Well, today's the day...and I faired pretty well...

The boys bought me a wallet and change purse, and a DVD...so all in all not too shabby. Although the change purse is bright iridescent blue...

Happy Mother's Day everyone!
