Our message to A F F, re Blog Comments

This is the text of the message we just sent to A-F-F support. As for the non-paying members who actively blog, but do not advertise, we do not include you in the group mentioned below. Some of you add lots of value.

What on earth is happening to the blogs? Something has changed which will not allow a member to post more than one comment to a specific blog entry. What the hell are you guys thinking?

If you haven't noticed, there are many members who use the blogging function, and have created a community that shares info, personal stories, and fantasies. It also proivdes a means for members to get support from others when they need it.

Its bad enough that the non-paying members use it for advertising, but us paying members deserve to have the full functionality of the site. We don't pay to have features taken away.

Lately, the performance of the site has gone down the toilet, again. This latest change just adds to the bad feelings that we, and other members, are having.

Our membership is up for renewal next month, and if this trend continues, we will not be renewing. There are other sites out there, but we'd rather stay here.

Please respond asap, and let us know why this change was made, and when it will be corrected.

Thanks for your attention to this matter.

Here was their response:

Dear Member,

Our Programming Department has been notified of the issue and will look
into this matter as soon as possible.

For future reference please refer to Bug #29153

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or comments.

Thank you,

FriendFinder Inc.

Hmmm... interesting generic response! But I'm glad that you sent the message! I've gotta agree with what you wrote to them and glad it's been brought to their attention. Hopefully they'll look into it and take care of it. Athough I'm not sure I'll be holding my breath. Grrrrr....

I believe this site doesn't really consider the blog area to be an important feature in the financial scheme of things. Perhaps the blogs have been more popular than expected. They've certainly struggled with whatever means of censoring they have employed. I wouldn't expect this to get much better though.

Hello tkwswing,

I sent them a similar e-mail earlier today, but have not received a reply back yet.

You received a form reply, without them answering all of your questions.

I agree, and I am only a little standard non-paying member.I think that all paying members should be allowed as many comments as it takes..
I just started to blog and after trying to get my 1st one passed all the censorship I really thought it was my last. But,I decided to give it one more try and I was very surprised that it did.
So,leave the bloggers comments alone. What is the main reason for this?
If I was a paying member with all the problems I have with just staying logged on into a room,or replys that are a no show,I am sorry I would have stopped and had a "sit in" and hoped for some improvement...
Just for those that do pay,I have always been a very greatful free member, for all I am allowed to do. At least 3 years ago I joined as a standard member and I could do just about everything a paying member could do.That has changed and I am still happy to acknowledge what I get for free.
I am surprised that AdultFriendFinder does have so many complaints and I see no changes for the better. If anything as a free standard member I would be happy with not being allowed to blog, maybe read them but not write them or respond to them.
I understand why,as paying members you are upset..But,the least they could do is listen to the paying members and try and improve this site...
