Is Your Cell Phone Invading Other's Privacy?

It took me a bit to finally get a cell phone. I toyed with the idea for quite awhile. I was waiting for the latest features and for the prices to drop. Plus, I wasn't sure if I really needed one.

Am I a putz or what? Of course I NEED it. How did I ever live without one of these things plugged into my ear?

Now, at ANY time I want, I can call for the current temperature. I can call my Dad and tell him I just pulled into his driveway. At night, when I'm 2 blocks away, I can call an ex and tell her some jerk peeled out on her lawn. Talk about easy communication when you're TPing someone's house! How did I live without this thing?

Ever since I got my cell phone I stopped getting upset about people's behavior. Now, when I hear so-in-so did something...I just call the newspaper and check if their obituary is listed today. The mere act of such a call makes me feel better. BTW, if it isn't listed...I list it for them.

The fact that it also vibrates...well...HOW did I live without this thing? I didn't opt the camera feature though. I buy a new cell phone every 9 or 10 months now to keep up on the technology. Well, that and the fact that I drive over it. Drop it in the toilet. Loose it. And once took it apart to see how it worked and failed to reassemble it properly. A little FYI...spare parts are not good in this procedure. So I'm really a new phone freak, just stupid.

Anyway, back to the camera feature. I stood there for about an hour last month thinking about a camera phone. That and running the trouble I'd get into through my mind. Yes...it took that long to complete the list. I wisely decided against it.

Do I need the camera? Do I really need the phone at all? Wellllll...I'm not sure. So I guess the answer is a definite maybe. I think.

Of course you don't need the camera. Not at all,not remotely. Make sure you pick a really cool one, when you get it. Which should be as soon as possible.

Oh and another thing...
How cool is the flip phone aspect? I think that's what really did us I'd-rather-live-in-a-pretend-world people in. Ten times better than the Star Trek thing and a bajillion times better than Dick Tracy's wimpy little watch/radio. Once we hear that little personalized tune that we think is so cool (which actually brands us in the same way as vanity plates and T-shirts with words), we just flip that little sucker open and...instant cool.

It's the little things...

Yeah, I'm still [blog 1hotwahine]

I think I am probibly one of the last hold outs about buying a cell
phone. Why? The price for one. The second reason is the many times
someone elses cell phone has spoiled a special moment by its
interuption at a play, church, and even intimate times. And their
owners annoyance at being forever on-call to everyone they know. When
the subject comes up, I tell people that there are times that I do
not want to be "reached". If a call is truely important, try my home
number until I get home. My time out is for me, not them.

Go for the camera phone....they are so much fun....you never know when that special moment may arrive when that woman's skirt flies up or when that guy in the car next to you has his finger knuckle deep into his nose! That is what I use mine for! LMAO

I saw someone last week with a BIG bag phone.... remember those? They probably drive a Pinto and have a rotary phone at home.

I have 3, all serving different purposes. However, they all vibrate. (smile)

i thought it would be fun to put the sucker on vibrate and put it in my front pocket. But what I did not consider is that I never know WHEN it will vibrate. So everytime it goes off, I jump clear out of my skin because I think something's trying to eat ol' 2 1/2 Speed. It is especially bad when I am driving, because I put the phone on vibrate, lay it between my legs on the seat, and crank up my tunes.

If you ever see a silver toyota celica swerving all over the road for no apparent reason, it's just me and my cock-munching cell phone.

I didn't have a cell phone for the longest time. Now I have the phone that does more than my computer. Besides being a phone it has/can: SMS, e-mail (syncs with Outlook), Outlook calander, take pictures (but only holds like 1200 shots), camcorder, media player, play games, act as a USB drive, and surf the internet. That's right ladies, I can read you profile from anywhere with cell coverage How's that for driver's distraction?

Traveling I would just walk around with it in my pants to see the epressions on people's faces when the flash goes off. That has to be worth the cost all by itself!!

Wahine I agree. A little FYI...it is MUCH better to purchase a phone that flips open rather than trying to customize the one you already have!

Golden I think we have evolved into an instant society. We need food immediately, internet immediately, sex immediately, and must talk to people immediately. I know I do.
