Is There Television After Death? In The U.S. ... YES

Some things never cease to amaze me. Here is an entry for "Those whacky Americans".

Seems a Funeral Home in Michigan has aligned with a local cemetary and is now offering the ultimate tribute to the dearly departed...a video that plays non-stop at the gravesite. Yep...video after death. What a tribute. Now you can watch grandma doing whatever you want, anytime you want. Just give them the footage and they'll handle the rest. Don't have any footage? No problemo amigo. They'll shoot some for you.

This has to be good. Nothing like reliving the funeral over and over. Works out great if you're glad somebody is dead, otherwise maybe it isn't that great of an idea.

This does open up several other possibilities though. You know how the dead can be such a drain on finances. Casket, plot, flowers, new duds, it goes on and on. Well, here's a chance to recoop that lost dough.

Go ahead and buy that tombstone with the TV and the surround sound package. Build stadium seating...and sell concessions. Popcorn and beer are always a big hit at funerals. Now tell me, who doesn't love Raisenettes during a long drawn out eulogy? Hey...what about beer? Grandma loved beer...let's toast her. Jello shots too. The possibilities are endless here guys.

I say it's time we all start amassing footage of our daily activities on a digital format so our tombstones can rake in some afterlife cash for the grandkids. You know...if Elvis would have had any insight...Graceland could have doubled their income last year!

My brother took photos at my fathers "Celebration of Life" and I was happy to get copies, but video feed? Heh, had I known that then I could have charged an entrance fee. His creamation probably could have been paid for!

I can see mine now... It's just hours and hours of me sitting in front of the computer screen, blogging. Occasionally I'll kick back and laugh really hard and my loved ones who are watching will say, "oh look! he must be reading TDA1's blog again."

You know, I typed this thinking it would be funny, but it's actually kind of depressing. Sorry.

Diva it's a live and learn for all of us. I'm heading out later today to select the color of my admission tickets.

Ya know, I don't have a web cam simply for the fact that I'd have to brush my hair as soon as I got up in the morning and logged on. It takes me a few to wake up and be presentable. To think I'd be on cam when I was dead? Ugh.

Have tongue, will use it. Repeatedly.

T you're onto something. Coinop movie screens. Hmm, vending machines as far as the eye can see. I need to work on this.

Ah...Daphne...you have been watching Ray Milland in The Premature Burial way too much. The video is of you when you were alive ...not lying there during the croakage sweetie.

Jiggly I think that would be fine. However...how many people do want hanging around 'til all hours of the night?
