Going To Vegas & Want To Return With $$$? Here's How.

Let's begin with some SIMPLE wagers you can win at. Usually I offer this bet: "Answer any 3 of the following 5 simple questions correctly and you win. Let's bet a dollar." But, since it's you...answer any 2 correctly and you win. Ready?
1. Who was the first President of America?
2. How do you pronounce Ghoti?
3. Who wrote the Banana Boat song? Day-O...Day-ay-ay-O.
4. Who was the first black player in professional baseball?
5. Which is further west; Los Angeles or Reno, Nevada?
Take your time...& NO looking them up. They're easy...right? Answers later.

Understand that casinos are NOT non-profit. The only games you have even a prayer at winning are blackjack and the craps layout. Even then...ONLY if you FULLY understand the game and the betting stragies do you have a hope. Odds are, you'll win 10 million dollars in the lottery twice before you win it at a casino.

Simple rules for gambling:
Do not risk more than you can afford to lose.
Do not play games you do not understand.
Do learn and understand craps and blackjack and ONLY play them.
Do bet conservatively when you're losing.
Do not bet heavy when you're winning.
And the MOST IMPORTANT rule...drinks are FREE for a reason! Do not gamble when drinking!

You see, gambling at the casino level is mind control. Remember Pavlov's dogs? The bell dings and they salivate for food. Ever wonder why slot machines have lights & Speakers? Ding Ding Ding. Speaking of mind control...do you think that total mind control is really possible? I mean, is it possible for another person to control your mind to such a degree...that you can ONLY think of what they ALLOW you to think? Well, probably not. But wouldn't it be cool if it was?

Please take a moment, and consider the following very closely. Read the question, then answer it...one by one. Let me ask you, are you an only child? If not, how many brothers and sisters do you have? What position are you as far as age? In what year was your father born? In what year was your mother born? Do you have any family members born in the same month as you?

OK, about 30 seconds ago I asked you IF total mind control was possible and we pretty much agreed it is NOT possible. NOBODY can control our mind without us knowing it. Yet for 30 or 40 seconds I made you think about your family. Yep, nothing but your family. I controlled your mind. The human mind, when asked a question...will think of the answer. Imagine if you put the right questions together...mind control!

Oh yea...the 5 simple questions. Here's WHY you shouldn't gamble:
1. Peyton Randolf was the President of the Continental Congress. Yep, he was BEFORE George Washington.
2. It is pronounced FISH. Gh as in rough, {i] O as in women, ti as in action. Yep, FISH.
3. Alan Arkin. Harry just sang it.
4. In 1887, Moses Fleetwood played for Toledo in the International League. The color barrier, which Jackie Robinson broke, wasn't established until 1888.
5. Reno is further west. Look at a map.

Didn't win did ya? If you feel the need to experience Vegas...do this: Stats tell us that by the time you buy a ticket, pay for a room, eat, and then lose...you spent about $1000 in Vegas. Here's how you can have the experience and still have CASH.

Send me $1000 in cash. IMMEDIATELY after receiving it, I'll send back to you...2 strings of blinking Xmas lights, one of those really cool marine horns on a can, and 1000 quarters. Set up the lights...put the quarters spead out on the floor...get naked...wallow in the coins as you toot the horn.

Sure I made over $700 on the deal...BUT...you have $250 in cash. Much more than you would have had if you went to Vegas!

If I can substitute to a strobe light, a brass school bell, and 2500 dimes you've got yourself a deal.

Hmmm, slot machines ... the used to have pull handles, right? Can I just feed you those unwrapped chocolate coins and and use your handle, to see if your eyes roll around then match up?

I find that far more entertaining. And hell I can be there in about 3-4 hours!

even better your way... i am pretty sure Vegas won't allow anybody to roll around naked in the money on the floor. At least not on the main floor (hotel room afterwards surely is allowed). Of course, i've never been to Vegas. I'm also not a gambler... i work too hard for my money. I even had a hard time gambling once when somebody else gave me $ to play with. He finally convinced me it was OK to waste it lol. Then i had hours of fun Until it was gone.

S'io credesse che mia risposta fosse

Questa fiamma staria senza piu scosse.
Ma perciocche giammai di questo fondo
Non torno vivo alcun, s'i'odo il vero,
Senza tema d'infamia ti rispondo

I was driving through Vegas and stopped to gas up and there was a "bandit" in the station, so I put a quarter in and got "fifty cent" back... and I'll be damned if the dude ain't made me millions since!

HEY! Without your business, my husband can't support me and my kids! How dare you put a family out on the street! And poker is an easy game to learn as well, not just BJ and dice. But, if you must play the one-armed bandit (makes no sense since they are all push button now. yup, no more handles)

I guess things have changed a bunch since my last trip to Vegas. The slots had buttons and the handle, so people could choose. Never left as a winner-but never lost more than I was willing to lose. I think odds are better in the older section of smaller casinos. Firday nights seem to be lucky for me. Sunday nights to Monday mornings are the least lucky. I like the poker slot machines the best.

OK...now I am from Vegas and have lived here most of my life. You are so totally right in your gambling predictions, but oh what fun you could have losing that $1000.00........maybe we should make a bet. Interested?

LOL, I have been to Vegas in close to 10 yrs. Used to go with the EX a few times a yr. I had a blast, but I never/ever took more then $400 with me. And if I ever won anything, I sent it home in a check...lol
Ex on the other hand, his whole family has a severe gambling problem and he never left his CC or debit card in his wallet.

Native NOT my intention at all. Just helping with info. I have played poker in Vegas. A little FYI about poker in Vegas. Atlantic City has to tell the odds, not so in Vegas. Also, in Vegas IF you ask, the dealer must tell you by law how many players in the poker game work for the Casino. I was in a 4 player game where 2 of the players worked for the house. If you never believe anything you read believe this...it is ALMOST impossible to bluff a person that is not playing with their own money. Also...the house keeps 10% of every pot.

Goddess Vegas slots DO NOT have to reveal the payoff odds. In theory...a machine can be set to payoff every 75 years. As a rule, IF you MUST play the slots...do so in a casino. Gas stations and airports could care less if you return to their machines. The casino care level is slightly higher.

Sin I would LOVE to make a bet with you. However...as far as it being FUN to lose $1000...I think it is ALOT more fun to donate the $1000 to the Gulf Effort than donate it to a Casino right now.

I agree TDA, never take more than you can afford to lose. You want in on a secret? The first and only time I ever went to Vegas, 4 years ago, I hit on a $1.00 progressive slot machine at 6:53 a.m. on a Sunday morning, 2 hours before my flight left. 9 people saw me win and 4 of them worked there. I have not been back since. Why go back? I beat them! If you ask, I will tell you how much too!

Cookie good for you. I had always heard the dollar slots had a higher payout due to the higher income. Do tell.
