Do Insurance Companies Ever Get Under Your Skin?

I know what you're thinking..."Tall, stop picking on insurance companies. They're nice guys." This time I have to. As Blogville resident informer and part-time condom model, some things just cannot slip through the cracks! I heard this on the radio and had to pass it along.

Ever had a claim and heard this? "Sorry, your policy does not cover 'Acts of GOD'?" Seems that the U.S. Government says that church and State should be kept separate...but insurance companies apparantly are excluded from this practice. Henceforth...insurance companies shall determine miracles I reckon.

This isn't right! I propose we do this:

Call your insurance agent and ask the agent this: "Can I make claims about acts of GOD'S SON? Is that covered?" "My house was broken into. Certain DVD's are missing, all the flower vases are filled with wine, and there are sandal marks all over the front yard. I think it was Jesus. Looks like he left across the lake."

Maybe we aren't qualified for such judgements! Just curious how it would play out.

LMAO dodging lightening strikes

i don't mind the wine in the vases bit

it's when you're drinking with him that's a bugger

"here's a glass of wine friend ... nope it's water ... j/k it's back to wine ... oops water again ... wine ... no water ... wine ... water"

that gets annoying real quick

that and he keeps raising dead people and no offense to them but they really smell after being dead awhile

I read an artical some years ago of a person who's yacht was wrecked in a storm and the Insurance said act of God. That person sued God by bringing the heads of all the churches into court. His argument was they claim to represent God, God wrecked his boat, so they were resposable for the damages.

The interesting thing was that his legal fees were paid by his insurance company. If I remember correctly he lost, but the whole thing really struck me a good idea, People should take responsibility for those they claim to represent.

Thank You for Your Time and Attention

"Act of God", huh? I am so hurricaned out it's not even funny. Suprisingly my insurance company (once it responded) called it right, "Hurricane related wind damage" said one claim, "hail storm" said said another, and "excessive rain damage and flooding" said another. I didn't see anywhere where "Act of God" came to play. Did God's son cause it? No more than Vishnu, Muhammed, or even Confucius" Hey, I know? Maybe it was the reincarnated sould of the bat that got its head bit of by "Ozzie".

But, some things are great to "slip between the cracks"... oh, I missed the point.
But, I got a long history of fucking with the establishment.. and now that I got the whole "blame it on Jesus" thing to run with, they all better watch their asses...
Oh, damn, does that re=reference back to the "between the cracks" thing?
OOWW, I might like this "blame Jesus" thing.. think they'll buy it as my answer to the "dog running at large ticket"?
