All That Wiggles Isn't Jello ... Or Little Kenny!

I am taking photos tonight for the blog tomorrow looking inside a disturbed brain...mine.

Ever been called a fathead? I know I have. As a Public Service, I figured I'd help exercise your brain. Here ya go...no fair looking this stuff up. Shoot from the hip...the first response is usually the correct response.

1. Who was Crabby Appleton?

2. What singer was noted for always using a megaphone?

3. Three businessmen decide to share a motel room. The price is $30 so each guy pays $10. Afterward, the deskman realizes he overcharged for the room. He sends the bellman back with a $5 refund. The bellman refunds each businessman $1 and keeps $2 for himself. OK...if the room was originally $30 and each guy paid $10...then got $1 back...each guy paid $9. The bellman kept $2. $9 times 3 is $27 and the bellman kept $2 which makes $29. Where is the other $1?

4. Who was Tom Dewey?

Four ought to do it.

1.) Sounds like the name one of my neighbors should have had when I was a child.
2.) Anette? Or was that an empty room?
3.) I think I hurt my brain. ?????
4.) Didn't he run for president a long time ago?

Okay, I think I failed. And now I need to ice my brain. I sprained it. I didn't even try to cheat. Lol.

1. David Niven?

2. Rudy Vallee?

3. Does David Niven have the other dollar?

4. Did David Niven play Tom Dewey?

I believe that Mr. Niven was the answer to several questions in the first edition of Trivial Pursuit, so I'm testing to see if something hits here. LOL

The room was actually $25...with each man paying $8.33 1/3...the bellman returned with $5...distributed $3..one to each man, and kept $2... Based on distribution of the dollars, an incorrect assumption is made that the room cost $27. As for the rest of your questions, I don't have a clue to the answers!

Oh, wait...did Tom Dewey invent the catalog system used by libraries? The Dewey Decimal System...that is the only Dewey I can think of...except for my brother who drinks Mountain Dew by the three liter bottle.

1) Crabby Appleton was, of course, the original creator of a popular restaurant chain. The original intent was that it would be called "Crabby Appleton's," but he couldn't afford the large sign. That, combined with a dislexic sign maker, gave us "Appleby's."

2) Trick question. Joan Baez didn't use a megaphone while singing, but she ALWAYS used a megaphone when speaking to her audio-challenged uncle.

3) I'd look under the mattress.

4) Some well-endowed guy the Kingston Trio knew. Brings new meaning to "Hang Down Your Head, Tow Dewey," doesn't it?

Some people have to work for a living. Better late than never.
1. Crabby Appleton was a character from the Tom Terrific cartoon show.
2. Might have been Rudee Vallee, course I wouldn't call him a singer
3. The room was only $25. Each man paid $9, $8.33 for the room and $.67 for the bellmans graft. (I don't split pennies, too hard on the teeth.
4. Thomas E. Dewey ran against Harry Truman for President in 1948. I don't recall that personally, I was only 2 months old on election day.

1) crabby appleton was a CARTOON villain on the Tom Terrific cartoon.
Tom Terriffic wore a funnel on his head

2)Forget the three guys. The price of the room was originally $30, reduced to $25. Bellhop take $2, gives back $3.

3)Rudy Vallee

4)Dewey Defeats Truman

BTW, I'm blonde too so it's not the haircolor...

2)Parking Vallet

3)Check Little Kenny's pockets

4)Advertising magnate- noted mostly for campaine buttons

1. Who was Crabby Appleton?

Crabby was the guy who came up with the name for Crab Apples.

2. What singer was noted for always using a megaphone?

Wasn't that Richard Simmons? Oh, he was not a singer. LMAO

The deskman sent back $5 of the $30 making the cost of the room $25. If the three men knew that in advance, they would have paid $8.33 each. They received $1 back each, and the bell hop kept $2. So, $25+$3+$2=$30. Makes sense.

4. Who was Tom Dewey?

Tom Dewey, could that be the brother of my sisters and brothers father? Oh wait, Dewey was his first name, not last.

Great questions, TDA!
You really got me racking my brain over #3! But, I've come to the conclusion that it's all there. As for #1, I think he was a cartoon character. But, I don't remember. I am completely lost on #2. Too young, I guess. (Sorry, don't mean to rub that in your face, too. lol). And, I think #4 ran for president. (So much for chronological order... I think I'm 'cixelsyd', I mean 'dyslexic').

I'm probably wrong on all accounts, but it was fun playing! Where's my "boobie prize"? I know how much you love boobies and all.

I'm Tom Terrific, the greatest hero ever. The Captain was da man! I'm working on the boobie picture, trust me it will be memorable.

OK, Talldark - I didn't know #1,2,or4, but #3 is easy. The room costs $25. Each man paid $10, hence $30. Then the bellman refunded each man $1 so they paid $9 each. 9x3 is $27, then you subtract, not add, the $2 the bellman kept. You tried to confuse everyone! $27 plus $3 equals $30. The bellman got the extra $2 for himself.
