tired of feeling sorry for myself!!!

Someone on here who I think is a very honest, wonderful person made me stop and truely think about my life and what I think about it.And I have decided to stop feeling sorry for myself and take action.I am going to change the things I can about myself and the stuff I can't change....too bad,I'll ignore that and the bad stuff others say about me.I am a very nice person, with a great personality and compassion.i have a lot of good things going on about me and my life and thats what I am going to work on.I'm going to lose the weight and get myself into shape....not for anyone else, but for me.I am tired of feeling this self pitty......and tired of being a "bummer" to my friends.Next time they ask me to go out with them (which is every week) I am!!!! Thank you "kissmystuff", you are truely a good person.I have bowling tonight and I have a feeling I am going to do very well!!!!

Knock em dead mate!
More food for thought on keeping things in perspective. Perspective is my thing lately. It gets me through some times. Anyway, have a look at TillerBabe's blog post [post 245440]. I think you will like it.
And yes indeed we have to do things for ourselves. I waited a long time before I started going out. My wife is always invited but if she does not want to go I'm not letting it stop me from going. I want to do and enjoy. I want new stories to tell. No sitting around talking about the glory days. Life should be filled with glory days.

Reporting in Captain! Went bowling a promised Friday night. 3 games: 116, 96 and 119. Better than last time I went so I'm happy. Not up to my old average so I've got work to do. Arm is sore. How did you do?

I did have one other thought on your new look on life. I always try to change a little at a time. Not introduce too much at once. I get each new thing worked into my schedule so it becomes a part of it and other things don't suffer. Then the new habit is likely to stay. Might work for you. I still have trouble keeping with a workout schedule. It's too easy to stop and not going is a habit that's much stonger.
