Coventry Defined

This is not related to the series I published several weeks ago.

Elsewhere in the blogs, I will be using the phrase "send... to Coventry". I wish to hereby define the term, using one of the Netscape search engines:

if a group of people send someone to Coventry, they refuse to speak to them, usually in order to punish them

Something has been going on that I have been oblivious to for several weeks, and now that I am aware, I am furious, but I feel like it is not my place to speak of it.

Maybe later, when I get a better feel for what's going on, and how badly certain people have been hurt.

But I've used the term, and it occured to me that I really need to explain myself.

I'm going to sit quietly over here in the corner, being silent watching your blog until I know what you mean Oblivious is too much a current state for me

Well, yeah, but for you guys it was local history. For Americans, it's an obscure reference.....

By the way, I apoligize for making light of this in my comments to you the other day...

That was before I'd read the actual comments. There was nothing either constructive or objective about the comments made. Clearly an agenda going on....
