Blog Snob?

I think I can publicly admit it now. I am a Blog Snob.

Hang with me...

When I first got on this site, I was like most "typical males" when they first arrive. I remember it well - I'm not above guys like that - I was a guy like that. In fact, I haven't changed my profile since then - go read it, you'll see...

Then I found the magazine first I think. Or was it the groups? No matter. I learned quickly that the key to interaction with the opposite sex was to post something besides, "I'm horny - how about you?" (It seems that angle didn't work to meet the opposite sex - and I still can't figure out why...lol )

Then I started actually writing what I thought - without worrying if it got me laid or not. Shit. I live in Shawnee Okie-fuckin-homa - the chances of me "getting some" out here are slim. I faced facts. I may as well have some fun while I'm spending time here, right?

A transformation happened to me somewhere along the way...

People enjoyed what I had to say - about half as much as I enjoyed saying it. Success! I guess I found my "acceptance". And it had nothing to do with "numbers" or "networks" or "emails" or none of that. It was just about having fun with others and meeting new online friends.

Then, I found the blogs. I wasn't an early-adopter, but I came along and am really enjoying it. I spend an inordinate amount of time here - in the blogs. Reading. Posting. Responding. Laughing (quietly, at work). Meeting. Sharing. Enjoying.

I became more conscious about the quality of my posts. The types of posts I responded to. Who had said those posts - did I want my thoughts associated with them? I became a "Blog Snob."

I don't know if it's right. I don't know if it's wrong. Sometimes I may want to respond to one of those overtly-sexual posts (because I'm a male ) - but don't. I don't want my new friends to think of me as here for just the sex and cheapen our ties any.

Geez. I've changed. I remember why I first came here. Sex. Not a big mystery there, Sherlock. Over a year later though it's for something more than sex could ever bring me.

Thanks to all of ya'll who've come, read, stopped, talked, discussed and left me a better person for your company...

"I'm a Blog Snob" - and it ain't all that bad...

I feel the same way, it's not about sex anymore, it's all about the blogs and the friends I've made here

I've certainly gotten more self conscious of what I say, where I post and what I say when I do, since I've had people checking me out. And yes, I have evolved much the same way...have noticed the distinct decline of 4 letter words in my blogs??? LOL. I DO try to be myself in all possible aspects, but somehow I seem to have cleaned up just a little.

Ahhh...fuck it....back to the swears!!!

I came to AdultFriendFinder to see the pictures, then I paid to see the pictures bigger, then I posted a picture, then I started to cam and now I have found the blogs. I find both the intelligent bloggers and the ones God sent to the back of the line amusing. Glad to see you were in the front. Ohhh...still love sex~

I love the outlet of being able to say whatever the hell I want. It is a pleasant surprise to me when someone agrees or shares their opinion with me. I makes you realize how small the world is and how many people are left out there for me to meet! Thanks for a great post!

Hmmm...I have blogs that I go to often. Comment upon. Then I have moments where I just go looking, I'll look at the blogs on those who comment on someone's blog I visit often. Just click away. I try to comment, especially on those who haven't been blogging long. Just to let them know someone was there. It helped me to see someone just saying hi. Still does.

I've gotten more comfortable with my posts. In fact I went back and reread my entire blog, there was a change in how I posted and what was said. I typed one of my fantasies *which I sitll like* and most of all my goofy sense of humor.

Keep blogging and doing what you are doing, it works for ya! lol. Now I'm wondering if I'm going to see you on my blog anytime soon! lol.

I guess I am much the same way. I comment on a blog I am visiting for the first time when 1)the poster looks like they weren't typing "one-handed" and 2)when the subject stirs some sort of thought in my head that encourages a response.

Shit, girl! I'm the same fuckin' way!

Well, I've noticed that the 4-letter words sorta remove themselves from a post that has been well thought and composed - it's a testament to ya!

Now, get back in the damn ballgame and post some shit...

Er, what was that? I'm sorry, I was mesmerized by the boobies again... (sigh)... K, back...

Thanks for the nice compliment! I don't know about the front of the line - I'll take "comfortably standing in the middle someplace" though... lol

I'm glad you make Casa de Stevarino an occasional desitination - I appreciate it!

Thank you for a great reply.

"The outlet" has been my biggest motivation I think. I enjoy my posts immensely. Each of them is a part of me - some deeper than others - but none lesser or greater than the next.

When someone comes along and gives me some feedback on one of my thoughts, it's a little lift in my day. I appreciate all the comments from everyone and welcome the discusions they bring...

Preach it, muh brotha!

Good to see you back in the saddle and away from "real-life" for a while...

I'm not the top one in Okiehoma - just the east side - but not because that's what I wanted - but rather because it's been fun to post and hear back from others...

Continuing my funship,
Stevarino...

Yeah, I get to "blog-surfing" the same way myself sometimes. I'll drift four or five people away from the original post I was reading on a regular basis. I guess I look for the ones with "something to say" or the "way they said it" that catches my eye - then I'll go further.

I'm definitely more comfortable with my posts also - I think it goes back to posting what's on your mind as opposed to posting something you think somebody wants to hear or that'll get visitors to your blog.

Your blog is a new favorite stop of mine. Just tripped across it last week for the first time - but it is on my "watched list". Now get back to work on it, dayumit!

Put away the "shocked face", Miss Thang... lol

What I am suggesting is to keep on posting - cuz your adoring fans are hungry for it... lol

Now go go go... Holler at me when you're done and I'll come check your work...
