The greatest joy.

The greatest joy I have ever known, far and away, is the laughter of children. I was hoping to get home to houston when we set casing on this job, but I will not be put on standby, and to thier credit (for all of thier unpleasantness) this crew has set casing with a speed and safety unmatched by others. Still thier efficiency is my sorrow; the break would have been a great chance to go to houston and meet with an old AdultFriendFinder friend and a new one, plus see my nieces. They are 10 and 8 and crawl all over me like a jungle gym For some reason, kids seem to identify me as a jungle gym almost immediatly, though I have what many adults say is a permanent snarl or angry look, this almost never fools kids. Besides wresling tackling and assaulting me in a great many ways (one little 5 year old practiced her karate kicks on me despite her moms protests and even threats, though I told her I didnt mind), once at a pool in river ranch in houston my daughter two nieces and 5 other kids (the children of friends of my sister in law) all piled upon me in the shallows (4 foot water) even though I brought myself under the artificial waterfall, jumped up and down, and spun in circles till even I was dizzy. It was as if I were being swarmed by jelly fish or something. Still, I'll tell you secretly there is no warmer feeling than being in the middle of a mob of children who are attacking you screeming, giggling and cheering triumphantly as they bring you down and pile on top of you, stomping and pushing victoriously. children it seems get there greatest joy from the attention you give them (or being able to gain your attention) and not the things you buy them, and so by and by are not bad models of what adults should be more like sometimes.
Hope you get to experience the smile, joy, or laughter of a child soon after reading this.
with warmth,

(Princess Lips)

Gawd, I remember when my kids were like that. I'm waiting for grandkids now.

Check that.

I'm waiting for grandnieces and grandnephews now. The next generation has not yet been born into our family.

Great post sharks!

Hey princess, Hi, ya know you really didnt barge in on nothing in the room *wink

And Keith, My best guy friend here in blog land, also one of the bloggers I admire, I bet you been busy, as far as not telling people you know about where you blog, I understand, but if they knew how loved you were in this community, Im sure they would be forced to reevaluate if they weren't taking for granted that your in thier lives.

And shyvixen, i think it is my inner child that is coming up through the cracks of dispair that was my loss, and anger. It is the resilience of children that I so admire, that which is infinitly flexible can never be broken.

thanks yall, know the esteem I hold you all in,
love and friendship,

hugs sharks,
kids are great fun....they remind us that your only bored if you want to be. I mean kids really do know how to have fun. the run laugh play and so on. I mean how often does an adult actually think of getting together with friends and playing tag? I mean that is alot more fun than sitting in front of a TV or computer monitor. Or better yet.....sitting down and talking for hours with someone with no distractions. No TV....nothing else but the two ppl talking. It rarely happens anymore.

How very true...

My niece is only one and she is the most amazing creature i have ever had the pleasure to meet, she can make your heart melt with her laughter, and as she is just starting to 'talk' makes the cutest sounds ever known to man!

*Oh gawd someone pass me the tissues...*

TE, kids are the bombiggity shiznit.
....oh i know, when brody (my son) was just learning to talk he only knew one word. "Daddy", but for every thing else it was "Bee Baaa"

My ex discovered you could find him by singing
"Where oh! where oh! where is Brody?"
and he would call out
"Bee Bah!"
then you sing it again like the song goes,
and he would say it quieter "Bee Bah"
then when you would do the last line he would
come running from where ever he was.

and we didn't know how he learned the behavior 'cause no one we know taught him, and he wasn't in day care.

I love kids, one of the things I wouldn't mind is finding a mom whose BF was an A-hole and left her with a small kid that I could play dad to. (Brody's biological dad did that to my wife, and we got back together after he left her. so I got to be there when brody was born)
*now stop bogarting the tissues and pass em here!*
