Finally Reading: "If Life is a Game, These are the Rules"

I've been looking for something to read and picked up a book I bought several years ago but hadn't gotten around to reading yet. And I'm glad because this is exactly what I've needed to read/hear because this new year thing always gets to me a bit.

Here are Cherie Carter-Scotts Ten Rules for Being Human:

- You will receive a body.
- You will be presented with lessons.
- There are no mistakes, only lessons.
- Lesson are repeated until learned.
- Learning does not end.
- "There" is no better than "here."
- Others are only mirrors of you.
- What you make of your life is up to you.
- All the answers lie inside of you.
- You will forget all of this at birth.

I will share more when I'm finished with the book but wanted to post the list.

It sounds like a interesting book. I have some feedback about the 10 items

- You will receive a body.

That is true, It is up to the person to keep it in working order or not. Except we continue to get feedback on how to keep it working.

- You will be presented with lessons.

Lessons every damm day

- There are no mistakes, only lessons.

I have learned that lately

- Lesson are repeated until learned.

This can be taken various ways. If something that is not acceptable in society you must learn the lesson quickly, but if it is a acceptable behiavor, then you will keep on doing and keep on enhancing it.

- Learning does not end.

Agree with that, but to learn some things could priortise your knowledge and some things could get pushed down the stack.

- "There" is no better than "here."

I get that. Sometimes to learn you have to go 'there'

- Others are only mirrors of you.

OMG ... I am really screwed up LOL

- What you make of your life is up to you.

Trying to work on that constantly

- All the answers lie inside of you.

Hmmmm... I kinda agree with this but others can assist in finding the answer.

- You will forget all of this at birth.

I know, I was too busy getting thrust into the, cold and then that damm circumision was just wrong (ouch !!!!!!)

But I guess I still need to read the book

I am very new to this free-feeling computer meeting theme myself. It is nice to meet you in your blog. I just knew there would come a day where I would be typing that! LOL ... Anyway, you need update us on your Norweigian escapade .
I like that you typo when you get excited within the vision of your lover's touch, honestly cute. I believe I've read parts of the book you are currently reading; its a very zen-like philosophy, if not zen already. I live close in area, and I swear I didn't ring your doorbell on Halloween, LOL. I hope you are secure in that neck of the woods, pardon the pun .
I like that life is a journey and not a destination. It is only in the reflections of others that we see facets of ourselves <~mine. You have to get lost in yourself to find yourself <~mine too. You've a wonderful blog, searching for balance throughout. (And wonderful pictures.) I'd love to start a blog myself soon, maybe this weekend and you can meet me in mine. Like that wasn't smooth enough . Heehee, laters. handle handle
