It is amazing what a double shot of dark coffee and some mood enhancement can do for one's psyche.Attacking the dirt on my granite counters, shining until every bit of quartz in the rock glistens like little diamonds, knowing that soon, sexual desire will pervade my thoughts.

It is often an exercise in control to keep these thoughts at bay. Well heck I've done it for years, so I am quite the expert. But more importantly I have learned how to moderate these feelings instead of surpressing them alltogether.

Sex is beautiful, fun and free. It is that why the thought police portray porn as trash and perversion? How can people get so hung up about something that is so natural? I guess I'm just confused sometimes!!!

Yay, sex . . . ooops, sorry. I got distracted for a moment.

I agree that sex is natural, but in a kinda convoluted way. I recall talking with a friend of a friend who was rejecting kink as unnatural. She didn't think of herself as antisex; to the contrary, she thought sex was a positive and pervasive feature of nature. You know: birds do it, bees do it, even educated fleas do it and all that. But kink, she felt, perverts this natural good, turning sex into something sick and unnatural.

For my part, I thought she gave humans short shrift. First of all, some "perversions" are found in the animal world. Display comes to mind. But more important, we don't have sex as, say, baboons do because we're not baboons. We're humans. And humans play with concepts; they turn things around and inside out just to see how it might be otherwise. We are hackers of experience. And so if a partner wants to tie me up and call me her little slut, she would be acting in a quintessentially human--and thus natural--way.

What kind of lover do I want? One who can surprise me. Mere rutting is just a rut.
